If you’re going to Boulder, Colorado…

Make sure you check out Kanudawg’s exhaustive post regarding ticket options and other matters related to the Georgia-Colorado game on October 2.  It’s all there.

I have good friends who are Buff fans and they have little optimism about 2010 for CU. I feel the blogger’s recommendation to keep your powder dry until closer to game time is good advice for those who don’t already have tickets. It is very unlikely you will get shut out, or held up for high prices by CU fans. Certainly a 3-0 start by Colorado could drive the prices up, but with Cal up 2nd for them I just don’t see it. Regardless, tickets could be bought around the stadium for any game these fans can remember in recent times, and often at face. Based on Steele’s fan poll, the Buffs are in for another long season and their fans aren’t the rabid SEC type anyway. The ski resorts should be open by then so they have choices.

The one good thing about the timing of the game is we can see much of the early games up the hill from the stadium, walk down and catch ours, then be back in a sports bar before the Bama/UF game starts. TN/LSU isn’t that compelling this year, so I am now hoping for an early start for the Red River shootout and that would make for a great CFB day.

Pretty sure ski resorts won’t be open on Oct. 2. Just saying.

You may be right, but I think some are at the higher elevations of 9,000 feet and will have snow by then if they get moisture. In Boulder, the average high is around 70, and the lows are in the upper 30s in early October and that is about the same 5300 level that Denver is.

Any idea on where the team hotel is?

Has always been Marriott recently, if one is nearby, and Boulder has a large one. But they may not want to stay that close since Denver is close and would get them away from the college area.

If it’s still active, you can use the code 1990 to get single game tix for the Georgia game for $60 a pop.

They’ll probably be in Sec. 203.

      Yeah,

They effed us on the 1990 and effed us good. Just got ours “recalled” because of fraudulent use of the code. Tech’s old AD must work there.
