Indeed. Note the “extra week” for CO to prepare for UGA. Coming off a road game (that they lost) the Dawgs get to fly across the country, play a game against a team that has had 2 weeks to get ready, then fly back and play UT the following week. I just hope they don’t lose both games. Brilliant scheduling DE. Gone but not forgotten.

Road games in Starkville and Boulder hardly leaves enough time for a player to get a proper DUI, but I have faith that our guys will finish the drill.
I just wish the drill wasn’t a heel-toe walk on the side of the road.

I know you are a DGD Mayor, but that is just a pitiful, lame excuse. I just watched an athlete fly from Cali to South Bend, play both sides of the ball while scoring as a fullback and LB. He will fly back to Cali and then to Eugene on Saturday. I fully expect him top perform well, and if he doesn’t I will be shocked if he offers up an excuse rivaling this line of thinking. A 19-20 conditioned athlete can fly 3-5 hours and play well 2 days later, basketball and baseball players do it all the damned time. If ours can’t, look for another reason because that one doesn’t stand up to even half-hearted scrutiny.
McGarity has certainly pleased part of the fanbase, but playing more directional schools and 1AA opponents guarantees little but a few more dollars and an unrespected W. I would rather go down swinging against the Oregons, Penn States, Oklahomas, etc. than crush Ga. State, ULL, Idaho State, and the mid-major in Atlanta for our OOC wins. Frankly, it will drive me to the NFL or even soccer. This type of scheduling makes a mockery of the game and undermines all the “regular season is the bomb” arguments. And people will be asked to pay more for that?
I may hate what Damon did to embarrass UGA this summer but I would rather have an AD ripping off red panties than hiding in the restrooms around North Avenue when the video game tournament lets out. I had hoped for more from him, but this says a lot about what we can expect. Let the fans sit in the broiling sun to watch mismatches if they want, I will not be there for those contests, nor will I pay on PPV to see them. There are many better options available to me for free. Some of this may be about the greed of additional dollars, but at the root of it is the lack of a legit playoff system. Meaningless wins fool no one, and a lack of character is always noticed. No one is saying play 4 top OOC programs in a single year, but if 2-3 cupcakes a year is plenty enough. One quality OOC opponent with intersectional interest isn’t too much to ask.

If you don’t think travelling 2,000-3,000 miles has some effect on performance, well, I don’t know what to say. It so clearly does, it almost goes without saying. Now, that’s not an excuse in this case. If Georgia was worth a damn this year, these upcoming games would pose little threat.

You get it Gf. I am not saying do not play a quality OOC opponent. I am just asking why the OOC opponent has to be in the Pacific or Mountain time zones? Clemson–sure. UNC–yeah. Louisville (who we have scheduled)–why not. But flying across country to play a night game in Eugene, OR or Phoenix, then flying back and having to play a day game against a top flight SEC team 6 days later is crazy. From what I am told the real problem is the 2nd game. Jet lag screws up practice for 2 days and you can’t get ready. If you are playing a cupcake for the return game it’s probably OK. But when the opponent is Bama (like 2008) it’s really a killer. There is a reason why you do not see Bama and FLA do that sort of thing. We found out that reason in 2008 and now we are doing it again. Thanks Damon “Red Panties” Evans wherever you are. GFY.

I don’t know what the big deal is. So what, we lost 3 games. We will go undefeated the rest of the season and end up 10-3. I mean we have a freshman QB and with his 27 yards on 24 carries in SEC games alone, he is going to be special, if he doesn’t have his brains beat in from this year’s senior Offensive Line.
Next year, then we can win the national championship.
Coach Richt got rooked out of it in 2002 and 2007. 2011 is our year. I don’t care if we lose 15 seniors and another 4-5 juniors after this season. National Championship baby.

Dream team. We have 15 percent of the top players in the state of Georgia committed to us. The really exciting recruit had sex with a 14 year old in North Carolina in a classroom and can’t play still this his senior season. Can we really afford to bring him here ?
Fun. Party School # 1 in the nation. Fulmer Cup # 1 in the nation. National Championships as a Party School and as a Football Team for our Arrests / Suspensions.
Arrests / Suspensions are on the players, loafing on plays is on the players, taking a game off and another and another then going in and saying coach I don’t feel good is on the players. Telling a new recruit just hitting our campus after signing as injured that being a running back at Georgia is a GRIND is on the players. Getting sacked on every play is on the players. Fumbling every game for 5 years in a row now, is on the players.
But, it comes to a point when it is so pervasive that it is NOT on the players any more. And, we achieved that last year.
Coaches blaming the players, is on the coaching staff.
Players like Nick Williams blaming the coaches, that is on the players too.
Selling for $1000 that which is only worth $29 and lying that you have not and never have been in Miami, to deflect the media frenzy to know what the NCAA investigation is all about, is on the players.
Using Vance Cuff’s DL to go buy 7 teenagers alcohol is on Vance Cuff.
Using it is on Branden Smith.
Even if he didn’t drink it himself and why in the truck with the 7, since they only wanted drive around Athens in a truck and get drunk.

Study the recruiting lists, and you find all our # 7 recruiting classes are all long since gone. Quit. Left. Transferred. Playing for other teams. Kicked off. Never did play here. The lost promise.
Players not given the chance while others, the privileged, got on the field and just didn’t impress. So, why didn’t the under-study get on the field ?
If it is 1 guy, that is on the player.
If it is 2 even 3, that is on the player.
When you have 10 players arrested, the AD arrested, the school given # 1 party status and wins the national championship for the most arrested / suspended football team in the nation AND you go 0-3 the last 3 weeks playing SEC teams who NEVER have EVER done anything, then folks that is on Michael F. You can skip right past the coaching staff.

Caleb King says running the football at UGA is just a grind. Caleb, how can that be when you only feel like playing about one third of the games ? How can that be a grind ?
These are the players the coaches brought here. Can they then say it is the players’ fault ? Can our coaches say that after they brought them here. They cannot control them.

Missy State is 1 of the really good teams in the country, you can tell that because at game time, they had the same won / loss record as The University of Georgia Bulldogs.

The OL is the best in the nation. They have been blocking great. It’s the running backs who cannot clean up those 2 both pouring in at the same time confusing the poor running backs on which 1 they should block leaving the other a wide open shot at our QB.
Hey if I fall down near the end zone, can I just sit there – even if the ball is 2 inches from my leg. And, that coaching staff of Coach Richt is just great, eh ? I mean we fired the whole defense and now there is no one left on the Offensive Coaching Staff. That doesn’t mean that Coach Richt cannot learn how to HIRE A COACHING STAFF or nothing. I mean, now, really, think about it : this way he gets to HIRE 2 coaching staffs, 2 complete coaching staffs. He is getting a lot of experience at it now at our expense so he can go back to Tallahassee and re-live the games against Duke, Weak Forest, Maryland, Georgia tek, Virginia, South Florida, Western Carolina, Middle Tennessee State, Tennessee at Chattanooga, Jacksonville State, Citadel, Louisiana Tech, East Carolina, Central Florida, UAB, Tulane, Rice, Syracuse, Troy, Memphis, and Western Michigan. No wonder his offense looked so good every week.

That I cannot think about an actual HEAD COACH. Not an Assistant. A real head coach. No OJT. Actual experience. We pay this guy for actual experience. To know how to deal with each of these situations. He doesn’t know. He tells you with his every decision, he doesn’t know.
Look again at my list, now widely spread across the Internet of Georgia as the # 21 team in the nation in wins after 2005 season to-date.
Don’t tell me there is NOT a COACH on that list that will have this program under control.
