“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23

it could be worse. Imagine our disappointment if that was our threshhold and we were Auburn fans.

Wow. You’ve got to work pretty hard to come up with platitudes emptier than what the coaching staff have already been shoveling our way for the last few weeks. Should’ve known ol’ Sonny would be the one to step up and clear that bar. (Surprised he didn’t suggest that we all form a prayer circle and beg God for a few wins.)
The sad thing is, I can’t even get too excited about him finally not being our guv after this year, because there’s no evidence to indicate his replacement will represent any kind of improvement. I’m seriously going libertarian this year — then I’d at least get Sunday booze sales out of the deal.

I’ll be voting in protest too.
I love this “two party” state we have here.
You can either vote Democrat or you can vote Democrat who switched parties when it was expedient (after his election of course).

Please consider voting Libertarian. Take a look at John Monds’ ideas on the issues.

The 2 party system is broken, and more support for a viable 3rd is only available when engaged people actually put forth some effort to look for electable candidates.
Too long people have blindly selected based on the R or D by a candidate’s name, and those Rs and Ds have blindly led.

+1 for the the Holy Grail reference.

What do you expect him to say? He’s not going to pick on the coach, and he’s not going to start calling out particular players or plays. That’s exactly the type of thing you expect to hear from a politician when asked about a sports team, which is exactly why no one gives a crap what they say.
Move along. Nothing to see here.

Same for many former players.
They often seem to be so un-enlightened that you’d think they’re messing with you.
Good grief! Who looks to politicians for analysis, anyway?
This site is a lot more fun without the politics.

Heh. Things that are awesome about Indiana relative to Georgia:
1) Fall weather;
2) the governor.
Things that are not so awesome about Indiana relative to Georgia:
1) Notre Dame.
Of all the things I miss about living in God’s country, its elected officials remain off the list.

“Get serious about winning!” Of course!
If only Sonny had spoken up sooner, we could be 3-1!

I would rather hear Zell Miller’s take. He was usually willing to call a spade a spade.

That’s why they don’t let him out in public anymore.

I’d like to know what Cynthia McKinney thinks about UGA’s football team this season. I’m just sayin’…

They invited her, but didn’t recognize her after a new haircut.
There was some unpleasentness.
(And you really don’t want to know who her father blames the losses on…)

Let me guess, Zionists?
I’m sure the McKinney’s could offer you some informative pamphlets detailing their thoughts on “The International Jew”.

I don’t think Sonny was ever really “in the arena.” He might have been a tackling dummy on the practice squad but I sure don’t remember him playing.
