    It would appear Chiz has had to answer a question or two…as I think I said before, why he hired an OC to run an offense from the get-go since there was no quarterback on the roster who could operate the offense.

    One woulda thought Chiz woulda reached out to the Junior College ranks for somebody who at least spoke the same language as the new OC.

    Hope Chiz does not get too many questions about the defense, because there is no explanation for that.

          Honestly, they’re about where we were in 2001: giving up buckets of yards, but not as many points (up until the Ole Miss game, they had held everyone under 30, which, sadly, is more than our 2012 D could say.)
          But there isn’t that much talent to work with, and Auburn’s 2012 O is worse than their 2008 one, and far, far worse than what we did on offense in ’01.
          Were I Van Gorder, I’d start blaming Trooper Taylor now, and jump ship ASAP.

      Great question. I wonder if it’s fair to say Cam won the National Championship not because of, but in spite of, the coaching staff.

      Watching Cam Newton play ball that season reminded me of watching Vince Young. That kind of player can just take over and run away with a college football game.

      Fairley was also instrumental in winning it all. He was simply unstoppable on a lot of plays.

      Looking back it’s going to be sad that a flash in the pan coach like Chiz kissed the crystal because of two “one and done” JUCO stars while a coach like Mark Richt didn’t get to play for one during his steady era of 2000-2005.

    Chizik the gumchewing meatstick of a coach. Anyone with a brain could have seen this coming. They won a title the same way the Florida Marlins of the 90’s won a world series – they bought it. The other similarity is that they both disbanded their talent after the banner years and went back to being shitshows. In fact, Auburn’s program has drifted further into mediocrity than it was when they ran Tubberville off. Not only is this trainwreck deserved, it was entirely predictable since we all knew that Chizik wasn’t building a program from the foundation up, rather the top down – and look at them now. Fucking retards.

    Maybe they can hire Nick Fairley as recruiting coordinator.

    Oh, and btw – FUCK FLORIDA.

    It will take at least that long for Auburn to raise enough money to get Chiz to sign a non-disclosure. People forget that his buy-out has no language preventing him from yapping. That’s going to cost Auburn extra.

    Remember that when Auburn holds onto Chiz and Tropper well beyond their expiration dates.

      More better for us. Was going to question the two years play at Aub, but decided to just revel in the two “Ls” we can put on their midget-minded butts (no offense meant toward any innocent midgets and butts) in their own stadium. That should be a great setup for us to get their potential recruits (if they invite any) in those games.
