I just read that Butch Jones has never had the same job for three consecutive years since he started coaching in 1990. Looks like they ended up with Petrino after all.

My husband is a UC alum. I have watched UC with Brian Kelly and with Butch Jones. He is no Brian Kelly. My husband has been hoping someone would hire Butch Jones away from UC because he’s not happy with him. I am not impressed either. He just texted me that “life in the SEC just got a little easier, UT hires Butch Jones”. That just about says it all.

NC Dawg, I have to agree with you. Brian Kelly had already turned around both Central Michigan and Cincy when Butch Jones got those jobs, and if anything, both programs declined a notch after Butch Jones took over.

Yes, Butch does not seem to be quite the sharpest pencil in the box. He has had a couple glaring clock management issues this year. I personally am happy with Arky, TN, & UK hires. None pose a threat to outcoaching UGA. My jury is still out on Malzahn. Not surprised the orange crowd who knows FB is not happy w/ the Cincy cast-off. PS Glad all the football chicks are out today.My job does not permit much blogging but like to read The Senator and LHB. Miss David Hale. Love good football & a good laugh.
