Anyway, if you want a decent summary of where things stand before things get rocking and rolling, Jeff Sentell is pretty detailed. Even better, he’s free.
It’s Georgia, so on one hand, it’s almost a little unnerving that there’s so little drama going into today… which is not to say there’s a complete absence on that front.
By and large, though, there shouldn’t be too many shocks to the system. (If you think about it, considering Georgia’s history, that is kind of a shock in itself.) That being said, I would keep in mind what Sentell has to say about Eric Stokes, Jr. and his signing, because if there’s nothing else one can say about Smart’s recruiting this season, it’s for certain that he’s managed his signing numbers very carefully.
The lack of drama on Georgia’s front means that I’ll try to keep more than the usual eye on what surprises are in store for the rest of the SEC East, particularly to see if Florida closes with some serious momentum.

Only way Jamyest Williams comes to UGA is if he came to his senses and realized he needs to follow in IMac’s footsteps and gives up his dream of being a top level DB above the HS level. That isn’t going to happen at this late stage so he is pretty much gone to be with mediocre SC for 4 years. Kid is a competitor on the field but he would not have seen the field on defense. Stokes is not only blazing fast, he is another tall CB for our coaches to work with. Great athlete, nice late pick-up.
Surprised we let the JUCO Murchison go yesterday, looks like we are either expecting a surprise, or perhaps saving a scholly for someone after today’s smoke clears.

Agree Williams would’ve been a roll player for us like Imac, particularly on STs, not a regular DB. Might be a 3 way player at scu. With all those WRs and DBs coming in we’re absolutely loaded with athletes in this class, though adding both Stokes and Speed this late is a bit of a surprise.
Hopefully, pulling the plug on Murchison means we’ve got some other DL/DE lined up. Guess we’ll find out soon enough.

I enjoy NSD hope always abounds and hope is a good thing. All the Dawg fans who act like they sort of pay attention to recruiting and turn their noses up at but they are still watching. If UGA has The no 28 class in the country this year the board would be full of “experts” as if there were such a thing.

Zone blocking is where the mystic lady/ voodoo priestess blocks out certain painful places in your psyche (Zones) helping people cope with things like directional kicking, pint sized tailbacks between the tackles, wheel routes, whiff blocks, slow but undersized linemen ……
I tried it when the alcohol and tinfoil hat stopped keeping the bad thoughts away.
