Anybody wanna tell Jimbo he misspelled Georgia?
Jimbo Fisher with a spicy comment about TCU here at the @fortworthaggies Club: “They stayed healthy, they had a lot of experience and they got to where they had to get to. And then when they got to the SEC, it changed, didn’t it?”

Anybody wanna tell Jimbo he misspelled Georgia?

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
It actually got easier for App State when they hit the SEC.

Can’t wait to see Jimbo and Penetrino fight through a 7-5 season.

At least Aggie fans have learned the “SEC” chant for years when they aren’t good enough to compete.

which has been every year since they arrived, right?

Yes, it really is difficult to win in the SEC.
I wonder if Jimbo Fisher thinks TCU would have beaten Appalachian State at home last year. Because he didn’t.

Would it be safe to say he is the Herb Tarlek of college football?

Oooof. Deep cut. No less accurate though. 😉

He doesn’t dress nattily enough to be Herb Tarlek.

Well he’s not wrong. In theory, they were the best of the Big 12 and they met the best of the SEC. Was watching TCU warm up before the game and was wondering how far down the SEC list of schools you would have to go before I would think they would be the favorite. Bama? – Nope. UTjr. – Nope, LSU? – Nope. Maybe when you get to Mississippi State, Mississippi, South Carolina and Kentucky. And I think they would struggle with all of those teams, especially the way South Carolina was playing at the end of last year. That was a well coached, reasonably talented football team, but they were also mediocre on both sides of the LOS, with one go to receiver and one go to RB (who was hurt in the Natty). Honestly, I think if they played A&M 10 times, they ‘might’ win 6 – might.

Watching the game on tv, there was a shot from field level in the end zone early in the game showing our OL standing in front of the TCU DL before the ball was snapped. Our OL looked like grown men standing in front of a bunch of middle school students. I think this was before we had scored any points at all but I could tell from that view that the game was going to be a bloodbath.

Agreed, it was obvious when the warm ups started.

We were one busted coverage from a shutout. They did a great job of scheming that one play open, but all the misdirection in the world isn’t going to beat that kind of a physical mismatch on the LOS enough to seriously challenge for a win, that’s for sure.

Yeah but no.
The “best of the BIG12” was K-State and they played Bama, but still got hammered. TCU was the 2nd best of the BIG12 and got hammered worse.
Semantics I suppose; the “two best of the BIG12” both got hammered by SEC schools …not named “aTm”

For a guy who lost to a Sun Belt team, Jimbo needs to STFU.

Kind of reminds me of Danny DeVito in Twins. “You mess with me, you mess with my whole family.”

A 6-6 team that went 3-5 in the Sun Belt!

Dumbo needs to shut up. Is he a little more successful version of Larry Coker?

Or Larry Coker with a better agent and somehow lower expectations at TAMU than Coker had at Miami.

Wonder if he is trolling the recruiting sites like Coker did to prioritize his recruiting board. Kinda looks like it.

Fair enough. Dumbo is proof that Jimmy Sexton is the Dumbledore (or Lord Voldemort, depending on your POV) of sports agents.

You sure Jimbo’s talking about TCU? B/c that sounds like a pretty damn accurate description of his coaching career.

I agree. I think that the 2013 Bama team would have beat his FSU team by at least 10 points. Which is depending on your opinion a good or bad thing about the CFP.

I agree with Jimbo. None of the Texas teams belong in the SEC.

You’re referring to the “father” that hadn’t been a part of Devin’s life for the last decade. He’s only seeing $$ signs and he’s throwing crap on the wall hoping something sticks.

Besides, Dimbo has a 23-18 record in the SEC, he’s holding up so well.
