If you don’t start drinkin’, I’m gonna leave.

As they continue to punch holes in the WLOCP, does it occur to anyone that we may need a drink or two in Jax to numb the pain?

Just kidding.  I think.

    I am sure we will need a drink to numb the pain of that beat down thats coming.

    But…I see nothing wrong with curbing some of the alcohol consumption that takes place around the WLOCP in light of some of the problems listed in that article. Everyone knows that excessive alcohol contributes to some bad behavior and decisions.

    I mean do you really have too drink 10 shots or drink 60 oz beers out of a bong to have a good time.

      Maybe they should focus only on helping keep people safe and not worry about stupid “crimes” like underage drinking.

      The fact that our drinking age is still 21, and not 18, is enough of a stupid embarrassment.

        “still 21”. That makes me feel old. I turned legal drinking age three times: 1985, 1986, and 1987. Each of those years, I could drink legally for several weeks before the age went up (no “grandfathering”), so I got to wait until my next birthday. Ok. Maybe “wait” is not exactly accurate.

        The legal drinking age was 18 for several years until it went to 19 in 1980. So most of my brother’s high school senior class was legal drinking age before graduation. That’s kinda hard to imagine at this point.

    I can’t help but get pissed when I see that it was UofF that instigated this. So, because they can’t handle their booze, no one gets to go nuts?

    If you’re going to try and take the cocktails out of the cocktail party, why not make it home and home. People aren’t going to the Landing for Hooters wings, I’ll tell you that.

    If people could handle the booze, there wouldn’t be a problem. But, a few can’t, won’t, or don’t and that is the problem.

    Maybe I’m getting old, but I couldn’t care less what’s happening at the Landing. That place is the cheesiest piece of crap in the J-ville area during the GA-FL game weekend. Of course if I was 19 and single and drunk and horny, I’d think it was awesome.
