Shocking news for Georgia Tech: McShay doesn’t rate Nesbitt. AJ-C writer doesn’t get McShay.

I don’t really want to pick on Joshua Nesbitt, who’s proven to be a fine triple option quarterback, but why would any journalist worth his salt find it notable that a quarterback with a career completion percentage of 45.0 and a career TD-interception ratio of 13-12 isn’t considered NFL draft-worthy?

Wow, I didn’t know Nesbitt was considered a darkhorse to win the Heisman. But then again I guess that explains why the author is surprised Nesbitt is not considered pro prospect. Homerism has replaced journalism.

He’s not rated now (nor should he be at QB), but when he moves to receiver after the season, McShay will give him a mid-roundish grade.

  3. We’re talking about the same Todd McShay that recommended Jevan Snead go pro as a guaranteed first rounder, right?

Even more schocking: some people take the AJC seriously. They thrive off people quoting their articles, thus giving the impression they have credibility. Perhaps the only way they can convince advertisers someone is reading their rag.

Despite throwing to a NFL 1st round draft pick at WR and teams concentrating on stopping the run he was still less than 50%. Hmm???
