Aaron’s Greatest Hits

Here’s a nice little compilation clip I came across yesterday with most of Murray’s highlights this season (nothing from the Tennessee or Vanderbilt games, for some reason).  As you watch it, notice how much better the timing between him and the receivers gets as the season rolls on – passes that open receivers have to wait on for just a moment morph into plays where they’re getting hit in stride for big gains.

And, yeah, that A.J. Green fellow can catch a little.

Who’s going to catch the ball next year? We have no proven receivers if A.J. leaves. Can we run a 3 TE set every play?

Thanks for the link and thanks to whomever made the clip. I’ll probably munch on that one twice a month during the offseason.

    T. King made some nifty catches early in that highlight reel, but then none at the middle and end . Too bad we didn’t see more of Durham’s great catches from early on.

Which hopefully indicates that he will be a reliable receiver once A.J. isn’t getting most of the attention.

Consistent with the title you selected, I would like for GTP to post footage of all the illegal big hits that Aaron Murray ABSORBED this season from defensive players where no flag was thrown. Late hits, helmet-to-helmet, the knee shot from Fairley, etc. Start with the helmet-to-helmet hit on the 3rd and 4 play at the 1minute mark of the Arkansas game. Sent Murray’s helmet flying off. Put that on this blog for all to see–then send it to McGarity with a note asking him to complain to Slive. Fat chance of anything happening at the SEC office with that crook in charge.

I hate to say it but I think Aaron will be another Eric Zier/Matt Stafford great QBs on mediocre teams. We have under achieved for three years now yet our loyal Disney Dawgs still can’t help but believe there is a pony under the horse manure. I am an alum and season ticket holder for 20+ years but during that time I have come to accept that UGA is not now nor will it ever again be able to compete with the Alabama’s and Florida’s of this league. We will now have to scramble to keep up with the SCU’s and MSU’s. It’s sad but true.

If your 1-3 year predictions are that accurate, how about some stock tips?

As for competing against Alabama and Florida, did either of those teams win their division this year? I think we competed pretty well against UF.

Sorry, I don’t mean to rain on a Drama Dawg rant.

You got the timing thing right, Senator. If Murray hits Durham in stride in the SC game and T. King in stride in the Arkansas game, those both would have been TDs.

This video really does show the maturation and growth of Murray over the year. If nothing else this is really encouraging of what we have to look forward to with our QB play.
