While you’re at it, think about Jesse Palmer as the new QB coach.

It’s probably too much to hope for, but Temple University may be on the verge of performing a national service.

… The real surprise, however, is the third reported finalist.  Again according to the Patriot-News, current ESPN analyst Bob Davie has been interviewed twice for the job and rounds out the finalists being considered by the school.

I dream of a staff where Davie is a head coach, Palmer is a QB coach, James is a RB coach, May is OL coach, Holtz is a DB coach, and Mark Jones is…well…dead in an alley….with Musberger beside him.

    Nice hire Temple.

    What a tremendous downgrade.

Oh, and fuck Spencer Hall btw.

I can’t wait for some angry Uga fan to try to use addazio at temple proof that he was a good coordinator in comparison to bobo because the mark of a “good coordinator” is getting a head coaching job…

Hm, typing on your phone tends to make the grammar less than desirable. Sorry about that…

I just think it was a bad hire by Temple. Hopefully not as bad as the hire by Florida.

Florida assistants will get the nod over ours b/c they’re Florida, even if they do suck as a coordinator.

I have a confession to make , fellas. Supposedly it is good for the soul. I don’t think Davie is that bad of an announcer. A mediocre coach perhaps. Am I a bad guy for thinking this? Do I need to go to football rehab?

No you don’t need rehab. You’re a victim of the “Davie Effect”. This occurs due to the excessive saturation of awful announcers/analysis, which makes Bob Davie seem to be a decent announcer.

I’m the same way Spike, I realize he’s not great but at least he does not seem to hate Georgia, so I can deal with him.

I sorta feel the same way about Musburger. I think he has a good ‘football voice’ and provides decent commentary
