It’s not getting any prettier, is it. Thanks, Texas. I spent a lot of time on you last week.
My ballot this week:
- Alabama
- Arkansas
- Boise State
- Clemson
- Kansas State
- LSU*
- Oklahoma
- Oklahoma State
- Oregon
- Stanford
COMMENTS
- K-State and Clemson make up the shaky back end of my ballot this week.
- Others under consideration: Georgia, Michigan State, South Carolina and Southern Cal.
- Quit asking me, Houston. Not gonna happen with that schedule.
Dadgum it I forgot to vote this week. Georgia would have made my ballot for the first time though.

Just an observation. Looking at the list above is there any one of those teams (and I am including Bama and LSU) that wouldn’t be scared sh!tless to have to play UGA right now? Particularly Boise in a rematch?

Oops, I kind of failed to give much credit to Kansas State which I suppose they deserve for taking Okie State to the wire two weeks ago and beating Texas this week.. I have Va Tech in there instead. I wanted to slip the Dawgs in at #10 but I couldn’t justify moving them ahead of Boise, so Boise got my 10 spot.

Texas A&M rather. (K. State’s win this week.)

Is there a way of finding out the breakdown of conference and/or school ties for voters?

Houston is the new Boise, Senator.
I realize K State lost to OU and OSU, but they barely got past a mediocre TAMU last weekend at home. That Cinderella story is over. UGA is more deserving at this point based on the eight game win streak. Not to mention Va Tech sitting there with only one loss to a top 10 team. Look for K State to go down in flames this weekend at Texas.

No…Texas is in a shambles. All 3 running backs down and Ash not ready for prime time. Agree that Houston gets some love…no matter your schedule, you still gotta win ’em. And I also put the Dawgs in due to their hot-hand…and blatant homerism. BSU, VaTech, Stanford, etc. just don’t impress more than we did last Saturday.

After what I witnessed 1-1-2008, I never thought I’d hear these words uttered by a UGA fan!

I almost put UGA in at 10th spot, but based on their resume, I couldn’t do it. However, based on last Saturday, they definitely looked top 10.

It was a close call. Look at KSU’s schedule and tell me why it’s not.

They have surrendered 50+ points in three straight games. And its not like their defense was staunch earlier in the season. Its still a Big 12 schedule to go along their 10-7 win over Eastern Kentucky !!!! They have more white guys starting then the cast of Glee.

And they lost by 41 to Oklahoma. Gimme me a break. Vegas would have us as 3 TD favorites over Kansas State.

I tend to agree with Scott on this. The win % of our FBS victims versus theirs is about the same, but they don’t have as dominant and impressive a victory as ours over Auburn and they have that glaring blowout loss at home against Oklahoma. Plus their scoring offense two spots behind ours while their scoring defense is 69 spots behind ours.

Yeah, I think K-state has earned some respect this year. They do actually have to play everyone in their league. *cough, cough*
I have the same 8. Left ‘furd in but didn’t really want to; it’s not as clear cut as it was once. I went with Wisconsin (two losses on the road on the last play in both; probably going to win B1G) and Va Tech (only loss to top ten Clemmers; probably going to win half of ACC).
Can’t rank UGA w/o also ranking Boise. I didn’t rank Boise. I also am trying to not overreact to Auburn win since Auburn isn’t that good (dawgraded!)
I think there’s a legitimate group of 8 from which one can fill out the “final” two spots.
