He could get Leach to run the offense. That would be a great dynamic.

Maybe there’s an electrical closet near New Mexico’s practice field where they could have the position group meetings…

First order of business: Teach them Lobos how to correctly pronounce that thing you throw and carry. You know, the footbaw.

New Mexico? Wow. Davie must really like being a coach.

Bob has momentary geographic lapse of reason. Forgets where rivals are. Accepts job somewhere in New Mexico. Is reasonably certain he can go at least 3-25 in his two-plus seasons on the job.

Yoo-hoo! AJC! Whenever you’re thinking about your next round of massive cutbacks, you might want to maybe address the guy you’re paying big bucks to churn out this:

I was surprised to hear 790 The Zone saying the exact same thing as Schultz this morning. Its like we can’t even enjoy a half of a good year before the radio and newspapers set out at our recruiting and make news out of nothing. Its like they are saying “Coach Richt’s hotseat not so hot now? Ok, well, you know, Grantham could bolt at any moment.”

I have to confess I don’t always understand what people expect of the AJC. Are they supposed to be cheerleaders for UGA? Seems to me they’re essentially just doing their job with this sort of stuff. Who really cares that much anyway?

The whole premise of the article was based on speculation, mainly because, “I’ve covered player and coach negotiations for nearly 30 years.” He has no evidence Grantham was involved in his agents comments, and yet he goes ahead and assumes that to be true. Any article with accusations that acute which contains the words “I’m guessing” is nothing more than a troll job. Nice investigative work there. While we are all making assumptions, based on Schultz’s history, this is just another unsubstantiated assault on UGA.

Davies has always been pretty fair to Georgia in broadcasts. He’s not a good announcer by any stretch and when he first started at it I thought he was wretched but upside to some of the schmucks who have entered the broadcast profession since he started he’s decent by comparison. I wish him well, Mike Locksley’s left him one hot mess. Also, no one else has been able to return ND to glory either so that’s no longer the dent on his resume it once was.

Please take Jesse Palmer as QB coach. With Palmer and James you could never lose because they know everything… I mean everything about football…

You can bet the Lobos will run the “perfect option” as much sunshine as he blows up Tech’s ass when he covers them. I mean I know it’s unstoppable but somehow he makes it seem like more than that!

For whatever reason (my childishness? my own stupidity?), this made me laugh: “New Mexico officials declined to comment further on Davie’s hiring.”

We hired him. Yes. He’ll be our coach. We have no further comment.
