Enjoy.
“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23

To take revenge halfheartedly is to court disaster; either condemn or crown your hatred.

“For over a thousand years, Roman conquerors returning from the wars enjoyed the honor of a triumph – a tumultuous parade. In the procession came trumpeters and musicians and strange animals from the conquered territories, together with carts laden with treasure and captured armaments. The conqueror rode in a triumphal chariot, the dazed prisoners walking in chains before him. Sometimes his children, robed in white, stood with him in the chariot, or rode the trace horses. A slave stood behind the conqueror, holding a golden crown, and whispering in his ear a warning: that all glory is fleeting. ” Patton

I have a lot of witty comments in mind, but the artcicle speaks for itself. Keep up the fine prognosticating.

It amazing the fact we can do that to an SEC team even though we don’t have a real home run threat…at RB or WR. I don’t mean just not another AJ…even to the likes of MoMass. They pound and pound, get first downs, and limit mistakes and penalties.

That’s what is so great, You can’t just try to shut down a single player at either position. Awesome.

Yes, sir.
My favorite thing about this video is that our fans finally have good reason to make these again. We haven’t had a landmark win against a solid, high-quality opponent in a while — arguably since we upset Auburn in 2006 — but I get the feeling we’re getting closer and closer to being a team that can knock off serious opponents.
Those pump-up videos from the last few seasons were so sad in a way (e.g., showing Prince Miller’s punt return in the Funeral Game but omitting basically everything else). This is the best one I’ve seen in a while, and it feels good.

The difference between UGA players and Auburn players in this game?
Take a look at the 2:30 mark. It sure looks to me like Jarvis Jones is checking on a down Auburn player to make sure he is alright after a big hit.

I think you’re right. Jarvis helps opponents up all the time. He picked Brantley up off the turf probably half a dozen times in Jacksonville.

Doth mine eyes deceive me? Is that Carlton Thomas going up the gut for good yardage?
Cam Newton still does the chest gesture in the pros. Oy.

Verily, and his minute stature does but allow for him to dispense with Abuurn secondary men with great prejudice!

Damn, that put tears in my eyes and watching Carlton Thomas run like a man possessed (attacking the defender) gave me goose bumps. To whomever did the video; well done.

I swear Auburn really reminds me of the old story about a man selling his soul for something, its like they sold their souls for that national championship last year, I hope it was worth it.

+1. The problem is that it IS worth it. Since the Cheatas have been officially cleared by the NCAA they can bask in the glow of their BCSNC trophy forever. They now have the same number of BCSNCs as their in-state hated rival Bama and one more than their other rival UGA, even though the Dawgs have beaten them 5 out of the last 6 games. Cheatin’ works. That’s why cheaters do it.

Oh how sweet! Thanks for the nicely edited video. The revenge was sweet enough but to do it with class after what happened last year is special beyond words.

If one ever needed an illustration of how everything about this school is a cut above its SEC peers (with the exception of Vanderbilt), this past weekend was ideal. Great weekend, great town, great (female) scenery, an ass-stopping of epic proportions, and an enthusiastic and (mostly) good-humored fan base. Given the climate of last year’s game, we could have hung 70 on ’em. Yet Richt elected to pump the brakes. It’s a miracle that every Auburn fan wasn’t run out of the stadium on a rail. Lord knows, they deserved it.
That was beyond satisfying.

There were a few students decked out in Auburn stuff in my area. I guess they came here for the real degree. But anyway, people were kind of annoyed with them before the game started. By halftime, we were just wondering how early they would actually decide to leave. It was wonderful.

Anyone else notice how often we pulled Ben Jones around to lead on the off-tackle runs? There were a few instances where he didn’t even make a clean block, but the Auburn defenders saw him coming and didn’t bother attempting to close the running lane. That man was not happy with how things went down last year, and he played like it.

Thomas didn’t run with a chip on his shoulder, he ran with revenge in his heart. He went out of his way to hit anything with an Auburn uniform. Not only did they exact a pound of flesh for the fans , but exonerated Bobo as well. Power to the Dawgs!
