Have mouth; won’t travel.

The idea that Gus Malzahn’s wife’s admittedly idiotic interview (warning:  too excruciating to watch more than thirty seconds) could be grounds for an AD’s decision not to take a chance on hiring Malzahn is exactly the kind of thinking that leads to retreads like Franchione and Erickson getting third and fourth cracks at head coaching jobs.

I hope whoever it is who said that brings on Terry Bowden to run his football program.

Yikes, that woman is nuts. The Gumps will have a field day with this one.

This pastor is head of a mega church in Arkansas that decided to start a school and a top flight high school athletic program. His sermons often touch on football and how his church can foster better players and remain comptitive. The school recruited that Frazier kid to play for them so they could attain state recongition. The pastor clearly thinks of himself as a holy athletic director of God’s high school football team in Arkansas. I believe that Mahlzan coached at this academy, but am not sure. It is clearly about winning at all costs under the guise of a religious cause.

Ole Miss just lost Nutt after Orgeron. They could use a fresh crazy in town, and this works out better since she isn’t actually going to be coaching the team. Get on it Rebellious Bears.

Admiral Akbar abides. That Malzahn duo could cruise the North Miss. countryside stirring up the football passions of the locals with ritualistic religious rants that would put Rev. Nutt to shame. Who would wear the Elvis Suit — Gus or the Mrs.?

The Mrs. obviously. Gus could never pull it off. I also assume she would have “Burning Love” in sequins on the ass. Uncomfortable, sure, but sometimes you have to sacrifice comfort for style.

The Malzahns emigrate from Auburn to Oxford. To help her get the lay of the land, Kristi’s opening act will be her back-up band

I bet Gus Malzahn works the long hours not only due to the job but also to stay away from that crazy train.

Good Southern observation, JD. Her use of the word “freaking” in this setting reminds me of a joke about a religious response in front of 100k people. I’m also with your response below where you hsd to exit after 31 secs; almost exactly my time. If there is more crudeness, just couldn’t stand to hear it. She has the IQ of the microphone she’s holding.

At least she was smart enough not to give away any information on their recruiting violations.

  7. ouch I made it 31 seconds and I think I just inflicted brain damage. On the other hand women like that are not crazy in Oxford they are deemed eccentric and you just say bless her heart.Old Miss is the perfect new home for the Malzahns.

Never been to Oxford but it should follow the rules from elsewhere. You’re crazy if you’re poor and eccentric if you’re well off.

I shudder to think about what might have made the Internet when Barbara Dooley was younger. I know she had a radio show, and I know she’s not Kristi Malzahn, but she’s still a little bit crazy.

You are right, Senator, a man’s nut job wife shouldn’t disqualify him from a coaching search, just like the skin color of a coach’s wife shouldn’t.

She’s trailer trash with money now. The worst kind. Ignorant and unsophisticated with a platform to show it off…..

I was thinking the same thing. 5 years ago, she was the wife of a HS football coach. Now she’s being invited to speak at the mega-church.

I don’t know about you guys…. but I sure appreciate my wife more after watching that. She spoils my grown sons and she worries me to death about appointments, sleep , health and the last piece of pie I ate. I am one lucky guy! Yes sir!

I liked the Trophy Wife’s fav phrase throughout the performance:

I disagree with you senator on how long someone should watch the video. There’s a lot of dirt she throws on the Auburn program. Watch the whole damn thing. She’s running her mouth about Michael Dyers bad attitude, Cam Newton and several more nuggets in there.

She also let the cat out the bag about Cam’s recruitment only lasting 2 weeks and Malzahn having no involvement in it.

Sounds like she was guzzling some Cammy Cam juice. Cam was “all in” that.
