What do you get when you cross a scooter with Mudcat’s car?

Nothing good.

UPDATE:  The deets

Michel sustained a broken left forearm Sunday evening and underwent surgery Monday at Athens Regional Medical Center, a team spokesman said. No timetable for his return was detailed nor details on how he was injured, but “a full recovery” is expected. He will begin a post-operative rehabilitation program, the school said.

  1. You have got to be kidding … What is it about Georgia student-athletes and operating motorized vehicles that doesn’t mix?

    • if you know anything about automobile insurance rates you know that males under 25 YOA and motorized vehicles are a dangerous combination. I think it has to do with thinking your bullet proof but it is not just football players or UGA football players in particular. Having said that when does the lost control meme start?

      • I totally get it, but these guys need to understand to stay off these things. It sounds like it was an ATV and not a scooter.

Why? ATV’s are a lot of fun and most people never get hurt. I hope he has enough sense to get back on it and maybe, if he was at fault, be a little safer. These kids should have fun while they can.

Not to say these kids shouldn’t ride ATVs, we have them ourselves, but you should spend some time at the Orthopedics office where my wife works…it’ ain’t purdy…and there are dozens each year, some life altering.

            • Yeah. The problem with ATVs is they are often used when drunk. My ex gf’s mom was riding behind someone on one and fell off and cracked her skull to the point where she was in a coma and had to be taken off life support.

I’m old enough to remember when three wheelers were popular despite the fact that they regularly flipped and killed people. If I need to get my off-roading on I’ll take a jeep out. At least it has seatbelts and a rollbar.

    Damn, just damn.

Wait, maybe it’s all part of the Chaney/Kirby/Pittman plan. Make it so UNC can’t know how to plan its defense. 😒

That sucks. If you had to pick one player that we needed healthy to start the season it would have been Sony. Geez!

Unfortunate accident, sounds like Sony is going to fully recover. Those who are so vicariously invested need to chill & take a Goody’s Powder as Summer is not over yet.

Lovie Smith put the hammer down on scooter at Illinois. “Smith said he made the decision to do away with his players’ favored two-wheeled transportation shortly after he was hired, and announced it with no discussion.

”It’s a team rule. It’s not a democracy,” he said, adding that he doesn’t believe his players are being deprived. ”There’s an old fashioned way to get around, on a bike.””

Gant did that at Rope Mill in Woodstock, where kids used to go to ride dirt bikes, shoot guns and generally get into trouble.

In a classic Atlanta story, it’s now a fucking planned community.

Too much tempting of fate – a horse AND a four-wheeler in one month!!!???
Hope he heals quickly. My guess is he’ll be playing with a club arm….again. =P

Looks like Dell McGee has his work cut out for him. It’ll be interesting to see what he can do with Douglas, Crowder, Wilson, Holyfield & Herrion – at least until Chubb & Michel return.

Looking back, I didn’t care much for shifting Bmac to WR coach after he did a terrific job recruiting and coaching RBs. And letting him walk away (to scu of all places) might be a decision we come to rue. Bmac hardly missed a beat when Gurley and Marshall had injuries.

I wonder what Kieth Marshall, JJ Green & Turman are thinking now. If any of them stuck around they’d be our #1 RB heading into camp.
