“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23

It is hard, VERY hard, (short of giving up the season entirely) to find any other CFB news to take my mind off our program’s miseries. But B*tch is making a mighty effort to provide us with it.

Aw jeez…seriously?!?! Did it ever occur to them that the high fives and chest bumps are a result of winning games, and not the cause. Losers generally don’t high five each other a lot.

Perhaps Butch has the causal relationship backwards. Perhaps winning makes it more likely that you have things to high five and chest bump about, not the other way around. I don’t think Butch is as smart as he thinks he is, or some of his fan base either.

Butch and Hugh Freeze are the snake oil salesmen of their respective divisions. And they both beat Kirby this year. Sigh…

The Wall Street Journal has always been my idea of a motivational source for coaches. Hasn’t it been yours?
