After ten weeks, Georgia has been eliminated from the division race, but South Carolina hasn’t.
I sure hope the worst part of Georgia’s 2016 season doesn’t come down to losing to Vanderbilt.

A minor threadjack: Speaking of things being “eliminated”…does anyone think we should put Derrick on suicide watch for the next 48 hours.Cojones will manage with his bakery going wide open. BUT I am concerned about Derrick. We’re a family here at GTP. Hate to lose one.

I don’t see Chomp beating the gators. But it will be interesting to see which East team can trip.up Bootch.

Me neither … I don’t think they will be able to move the ball against Florida (they couldn’t move it against us either). The Gators should be able to run the football enough to cover for their QB deficiency.

No, I just don’t want to watch a toxic shit storm envelop the blog. And that would be the case had Clinton won, too.

AMEN! Quit politicizing GTP….it’s supposed to be a refuge.
And that goes for both sides, please!!!
And if Derrick wants to jump off of an overpass or bridge, just please don’t do it on 316 or 78 this Saturday.

A refuge- exactly right.

SC will not survive the Swamp with Gators in a bad mood, but then, I felt they had no chance against TN either. Gators will cut that chicken neck off, imo, but I still don’t feel there is a “better” team between UGA, TN, or Florida. All have major flaws and are at a totally different level than the top of the West, and behind all other Western teams, except MSU, by a few steps. Not really anyone in the East that looks to upgrade much next season either, may close the gap a little but we will hear the East “doesn’t belong” at least one more year. I think TN or KY will play the part of sacrificial lamb in Atlanta, really glad it isn’t us this year.

Yeah, guess that is obvious. Was trying to say I don’t think it will be the gators again. Kind of want KY to go, that would mean they beat TN, and it would excite them so….at least until the game started. Everyone should get a shot at their dream…

I think the good Senator was being agreeable not sarcastic, Mac.

That’s the way I read it. It’d be like going to have your prostate checked, or to get a root canal. Let KY or TN go.

Kentucky would not hurt my feelings. LSU should beat Florida unless the Bama hangover is as bad as a bad movie sequel. TN can win out sending them to the SECCG where they hopefully get beat by Bama a 2nd time.

They may be in a bad mood but they also have injury issues.

I see it as a benefit this year…we don’t need another Bama beat down now…UF or UT on the other hand…..

Agreed, and it could put the brakes on UT or UF momentum going forward.

I’m still pulling for Tennessee to make it to Atlanta to get a second beat down. If not them, then Kentucky should win it and celebrate their SECEastness. They deserve some football success (even small ones) every now and then.

Me too. I’d love to see Tennessee be shown, once more, that they aren’t getting great anytime soon.

Bama’s already beat them down. I’d like to see Kentucky go. CAN you see Bootch Please telling the Hillbillies “everything is fine”. Doesn’t hurt us a bit. BESIDES we’ll win the SEC next season like CMR did or go 12-0 regular season like Nick. 😉

This could happen…I see Vandy having a decent shot vs the Vols too.

I live in west Georgia so I have a lot of friends that are Auburn fans. Our friendships are greater than the rivalry however, and there is very little gloating or fighting after the game…regardless of who wins. A “kind” rivalry, if you will (your mileage will vary)..but Tennessee fans are delusional. They are insufferable asses when they win and disappear when they lose. Much like GT, only with fewer teeth greater intensity since the nerds rarely really expect to win and endure a lighter period of mourning.
So I hope Tennessee loses to Vandy..but if they do go to ATL, I hope Bama stomps a mudhole in their ass.

I remember thinking circa 1998 how tough the east was and the west sucked. Man, I never thought it would be so crappy.

Exactly. The east made the conference what it is today. No question.
