Your weekly non-Dawg game day post, 11/26 edition

Rivalry week always makes for good games, so we’ve got plenty to enjoy today.

Kentucky

#11Louisville

12:00 PM

Unfortunately for Kentucky, I don’t think this will be one of those.

#3Michigan

#2Ohio State

12:00 PM

Look, Ma!  The Big Ten’s got one of those meteor games of its own!

Mississippi State

Ole Miss

3:30 PM

Sometimes you go to the Egg Bowl with the teams you have, not the teams you might wish you have.

#13Auburn

#1Alabama

3:30 PM

Remember, we’re supposed to believe this game doesn’t matter.

South Carolina

#4Clemson

7:30 PM

This one should be fun.

#17Tennessee

Vanderbilt

7:30 PM

If Vandy manages to pull the upset, does Tennessee have to give back the life championship trophy?

#15Florida

#14Florida State

8:00 PM

I don’t think Florida will win, but after the season the Gators have had, it wouldn’t surprise me, either.

If the season has to end then rivalry week is as good a way as possible to end it. Go Dawgs!

Hate ohio, and don’t care much for Michigan (especially since they hired the obnoxious HC), but this is way too good of a game to be played at noon. How did Mickey make that decision? Will enjoy watching Bama dismantle what remains of the Gus Bus. Feel you are right about FSU/FU being competitive tonight, could see that either way as FSU has been erratic all season. Go Noles, and Go Dores!!

Regarding the noon starts for a marquee matchup like Mich-OSU, it could be simple tradition and a dash of precaution by administrations in an intense rivalry in two states where postgame celebrations often include flipping or setting afire cars (ex: championships by Tigers, Pistons, Mich hoops, OSU, Cavaliers, etc). Mike Adams and Jimmy W nods their approval.

Pulling for OSt…not because I like them, but JH is SUCH an ass as to make Corch seem cuddly.
Pulling for Vandy because Tennessee’s fans think it the Vols win they should be pre-season #1 next year.
Pulling for South Cakalacky because there’s something endearing about Boom and his enthusiasm…and he’s pulling for KS and the Dawgs to beat GT.
Pulling for Florida because they are SEC..
      Obviously for Kentucky.
      Alabama..see Mac’s reason’s above @ 9:26.
Hoping Eason throws for 800 yards and 7 touchdowns, that Chubb gets 400 yards rushing, Sony gets 399 and I’mac gets 198 plus four kick returns for TDs…We convert the 2 pt conversion after every score, and GT concedes the game and walks off after this first quarter. And I mean it!

Well Kentucky stepped up. Congrats to them.

Also, glad to see we’re not the only ones that give us a late lead to our nerdy rivals. Thanks for that, Tennessee. You’re still champions at life in Knoxville, I guess.
