Ah, Minneapolis in the spring.
“There are not many better places in the spring and summer than the Twin Cities and the state of Minnesota,” Minnesota coach P.J. Fleck said. “It’s some of the most beautiful weather you’ll find in the entire country. That’s what we look forward to showing off.”
All I can say is that any kid from the South who thinks the weather in Minnesota is the same in June as it is in November deserves to freeze his ass off.
Up here in Maine we only have two seasons: Winter and the Fourth of July. Not much warmer in Minnesota. Kids would be in for a shock in February.

And, if you want flowers blooming in your yard, you buy them already in bloom from a greenhouse and plant them. Had a friend who worked part of his career in Fort Kent. I heard lots of stories about the weather.

We’re having a major snow storm today. About 24 inches, and I am not in Fort Kent which is much farther north. No one lives there anymore ;).

Minneapolis in late April-early June is awesome. Then it gets hot as balls. Then it gets mindnumbingly cold. Then it gets colder.

Yeah that’s the thing. I’ve been up there and it’s just as miserably hot during the summer as down here. It’s just that we don’t get the extreme winters.

Get ’em up there, quick. Spring runs mid-May to mid-June in the twin cities.
