Aloha, Mr. Paterno.

JoePa channels his inner Jeff Spicoli.

“To be frank with you, I don’t know what the reasons are not to have a playoff,” Paterno said during a speaking appearance in Pittsburgh. “You can talk about missing class and all that kind of stuff, [yet] you see basketball go on forever. You have a lot of bogus excuses, but obviously the majority of people who have the say don’t want it.”

Bogus, dude.

Jeff Spicoli: What Jefferson was saying was, Hey! You know, we left this England place ’cause it was bogus; so if we don’t get some cool rules ourselves – pronto – we’ll just be bogus too! Get it?

Something tells me if he had taken the other side of the issue you’d have used a clip of Kundun or something and tried to talk about his experience and how he’s seen it all, done it all and is wise and maybe we should all listen to him.

Because they used the same word that’s in a dictionary?? Spicolli is an idiot, Paterno is an institution. Paterno’s success and longevity tell me his voice should carry some weight. Even if you don’t agree with it. Of course I’m sure being screwed over by the system at least three times when an undefeated team probably has something to do with it, as it should.

  4. Jeez… do I have to spell this out to you?

Paterno’s talking about “missing class” and the stoner’s talking about “if we don’t get some cool rules ourselves, we’ll be bogus, too”. They sound like each other’s talking points.

To me, it’s funny. Sorry if that offends you.

You probably won’t like this, either.

I got it Senator, I just didn’t find it that funny. Sorry, “DUDE”.

As I said, Joe Pa has been screwed three times over by the system. Yet I’m sure he thinks it was great at the end cause those regular season wins were so meaningful.

He’s got four undefeated teams that weren’t #1 at season’s end. Which one aren’t you counting?

BTW, 1994 wouldn’t have been a problem under a BCS format.

Yet I’m sure he thinks it was great at the end cause those regular season wins were so meaningful.

A sentiment President Wetherell no doubt shares with you.
