Sherrill recalled a Mississippi State-Vanderbilt game, before which the Vanderbilt student newspaper published a story about, “the elite educational school against Mississippi State, the high SAT scores playing a bunch of guys who scored very low.
“The first play,” Sherrill recalled, “Fred lined up against their wide receiver and said, ‘I’ll let you catch one pass today if you do my homework this week.’ “
Reminds me of the David Greene fake that Vandy’s safety bit on. One of our guys said something snarky about the SAT, but I can’t remember what it was.

I think T. Edwards made a comment about pulling off that hidden ball play on a guy who had a really high SAT score (may have even been 1600 but I’m not sure of that).
