I would love to bust Myers balls on this but if I hadn’t been given a 2nd (and 3rd and 4th) chance in life I would probably be living under a bridge right now. If I had a dollar for every stupid thing I’ve done I wouldn’t have to work today.

Josh Jarboe is now looking for a place to land. If Percy’s foot doesn’t heal enough, Florida would be the perfect fit. Josh and Ronnie already have a lot in common.

Jeez, you guys are over on my website yapping like a bunch of hounds underneath a treed possum.
I realize that Bulldogs are not the most energetic breed and I don’t want any more canine heart attacks this summer, so I thought I’d saunter over and have a chat.
Any modestly observant football analyst realizes that Georgia and Florida are two of the 5 most talented teams in the country and the winner in Jax should be considered a favorite to play for the mythical NC.
So, that was not a pro-UGA quote or even a compliment, just a candid observation.
For the record, I do not think you will beat us this year. With or without Ronnie Wilson our defensive interior will be better and that’s where we lost the game last year. Our offensive line will also be better, and our receivers faster. So I don’t really see you guys giving Tebow too difficult a time unless you commit to blitz packages, which could turn quite scary for you.
While I don’t think your team has any weaknesses, I don’t think you will be any better than you were last year.
On the other hand, we will be markedly better on both defense and offense.
The winner of this year’s game will have to score 45.
Although I do consider that Meyer has made a marketing mistake in the manner of Wilson’s return, he hasn’t quite lowered himself to Richt’s level with the shades of “UM-FIU” move last year. But what else is to be expected from a guy raised in Boca Raton, FL who earned his chops at scUM and f$u? What’s he gonna do for an encore, fly your team to Jacksonville in red and black fatigues?
As we all realize, the Wilson move will blow over within a week, while the Touchdown Two Step will stain your reputation for much longer. Anybody want to bet that it doesn’t get shown as part of the pre-game TV coverage for the next 2 to 5 yrs?
Both moves may lack a little class, but I’d rather have a coach whose questionable moves improve the quality of play, than one that merely stains the reputation among the national media, provides no meaningful competitive benefit and probably adds some motivation for us as an opponent the following year, if that was necessary.
I think UGA should focus it’s attention on not defecating all over the SEC by losing to Pac-10 Pansy ASU.
Incidentally, I do find the slavish way that the UGAns defended and defend last year’s indefensible Touchdown Two Step enlightening. Much as the shock and awe that is being expressed over the act of constructively criticizing one own’s team, it shows a disturbing level of groupthink, even for college football fans.

Man, you can actually taste the bitterness in KGB’s post.
Here’s my question: Why do all the UF fans just assume they will be significantly better on defense? Even before the convict rejoined the team, all you read was how much better that unit would be this year. Granted, they couldn’t be much worse, but I still have trouble seeing exactly where all this improvement is going to come from. Is it Will Hill? Hunter? Do you really want to rest your fortunes on the backs of freshmen?
Further, why do they automatically assume that Moody will completely change their running game or for that matter that Meyer will even show the patience to allow him to?
It’s blind optimism and nothing more. Meyer has had three years at Florida and so far he has a 3 loss season and a four loss season. The national love affair with this man is mind boggling.

Wow, I don’t know that anything else I have ever said online or live and in person has received such a passionate and unnecessarily verbose response.
If you put something in writing (or even simply in speech) it will be used out of context by the opposition. In this case, clearly as a joke to rub FLA fans the wrong way. Aren’t rivalries supposed to be fun to get into?
You didn’t seriously believe that I thought a FLA fan would be complimenting us did you?

Had Coutu made his FG last year, we would have had 45. We gave you two touchdowns last year (Stafford’s wounded duck to Wendy Lapierre Louis Dreyfuss and kicking off from the 8). Which means your unstoppable offense dropped 16 legitimate points on us. Seems to me we’ll only need 17 but 45 would be nice.

Did you change your OL coach? And we only lost two guys on defense. Do you think we’ve gotten slower? Oh…and blitz packages resulted in six sacks. Your right. That is scary.
