A brain aneurysm waiting to happen.

For the part of Georgia’s fan base who thinks the team’s biggest problem is that Mark Richt doesn’t show enough emotion on the sidelines, honey, Brian Kelly’s your guy.

Holy Mother of Crap.  I kept waiting for his head to explode.

I know this guy who is a symbol of stoicism that may be available end of this year.

  3. Everybody thought Kelly was this amazing coach, but I’m starting to wonder if he’s got what it takes to turn Notre Dame around. He’s already botched that QB situation in my eyes big time.

Looks a lot like me after we tried to pick up a 4th and 1 out of the shotgun Saturday night.

Kelly’s record speaks for itself. If he can’t win at Notre Dame, then Notre Dame will never win again.

Elsewhere on the inter-webs the point was made that Notre Dame people were perfectly satisfied with the HC putting refs in headlocks and being an ass when the team was winning. They are just like everyone else.

Hell, Kelly is partly responsible for the Sullivan kid and he still has a job. The higher ups at ND know this is pretty much it.

My thoughts exactly. I could see him doing very well at UGA, but the timing won’t be right. I’m really struggling to figure out who exactly we’re going to replace Richt with given that Patterson doesn’t look likely to leave and Petersen doesn’t look like a fit at UGA even if he would listen.

You’d pop a vein too if you were being shut out by South Florida.

I have always viewed the emotion vs non-emotion debate as a pointless exercise. Different personalities and styles can get you to the same places. He can be a cigar store Indian as long as it is a favorable outcome. Seeing my coach meltdown because the team is losing generally is not all that gratifying. Neither is watching Trooper Taylor bounce around like a complete jack-ass.

I give him credit for being pissed his team was blowing the game to an inferior opponent. There is a big difference between being a general jack ass vs. being irate at piss poor execution and performance by your players.

Well as Dan Patrick, an Irish fan, said about Kelly, “it’s one thing to yell at them but he got them too scared to play for him.” Kelly’s problem is that at Central Mich and Cinci nobody saw him much, now he is on the national stage each week and as big an SOB as Dr. Looooou could be he still seemed to love his players. Kelly just seems to be an ahole that can coach.

He just needs to keep a clipboard over his &#*$ing mouth! And I am not so sure that South Florida is an inferior team.

Thankfully all of Notre Dame’s players and coaching staff are staunch Catholics so they can go to confession.

Funny, I actually used the term brain aneurysm watching Kelly on Saturday. Every time I flipped past he was red in the face and dropping f bombs like crazy. My experience with college athletes is that pretty soon, they will completely tune him out. Whether that is before a blood vessel bursts or not, who knows?
