Aaron Murray channels his inner Vince Dooley.

This is good, Aaron.

“They don’t make many mistakes, and they force you to be perfect,” Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray said. “They’re not going to give up a lot of big plays. They almost held Alabama to seven points in the first half.”

Almost!

Add something about how good Vandy’s long snapper is – it would help if you’d pronounce it “snappah” – and I’ll be ready to proclaim you a poor-mouth master.  You’ve learned well, grasshopper.

He should have talked about how Jordan Rogers is a fantastic QB (104 yds passing 0 TDs and 2 INTs) and the obligatory “they are well coached”

AJ McCarron went 23 of 30 for 237. He completed 76.7% of his passes and graded out at 187.0. All 4 of his TD’s were thrown to the middle of the field.

I think it’s safe to say that if we get Vandy thinking run, AM can have a big night.

If memory serves correctly, the proper Dooley syntax is: “They have the finest _____________ we’ve faced all year.”

They do have a pretty decent and opportunistic defense, but if we don’t give them anything while we’re on O, we should win solidly.

My favorite all time Dooley poor mouth was the time he lauded a team (Oregon State if I remember correctly) for having the best onside kick team in the country. Of course a team gets a lot of practice at onside kicks when they are habitually behind. Murray could also get bonus points if he notes that he has to watch out for Vandy’s “backkkk-side pressurah” this weekend.

By the time Vince retired in 88, the routine became tongue in cheek, even for him. The AJC had a “Dooley’s Superlative of the Week” feature.

Well, Vandy does lead the nation defensively in interceptions. That’s the sort of thing that will make a quarterback take notice. Still, I’m sure that Aaron also knows what Alabama did in the second half against Vandy. We’ll get ’em.

Hey, Aaron Murray, I’d be a little damn concerned to about Vandy’s defense. Their record shows they lead the nation in interceptions.

Here is the voice you need to listen to. Do you know what your numbers are for this month of October after facing two SEC teams that have yet to win a SEC contest. Coming into October you were trucking along with a rating of 163. In October you have gone in the tank. Your rating is a poor 122! The voice you need to hear along with your OC is “get your ass in gear college boy”. You have throw 2 TD and 3 picks. Does not sound good going on the road to Vandy when they lead the nation in INTs.

And let’s celebrate those 4 quarters where this offense plastered the SEC in points. Does your voice recall that one FG vs MSU in the second half and 2 FGs against UT in the first half. That is what we call a dismal performance. 9 points in four quarters. It is one thing to be conservative, but another to get your butts shut down.

Beginning to look like our OC have reverted back to his old ways.

Agreed, Red. Aaron needs to lead us to this win using all his skills. Vandy won’t lay down and give you a damn thing. We can joke about Dooley’s words, but there comes a time that you can’t assume any win.

Just screw around and see how seriously you need to take Vandy. Those kids put their pants on the same way as we do, but they are known to play with great heart and they are getting the athletes to make their play a positive reality.

Anyone can beat any team on any given day. Don’t take this one for granted.

Did we watch the same Tennessee game? What about the offense was conservative in the first half?

Richt on playing at Vandy: “I can’t tell you how many times we’ve been at halftime wondering what’s going on.”

    Us too coach. Us too.

What was the final score of Vanderbilt’s last 2 games? Guess Murray forgot to mention that the last 4 wins were against unranked teams without an SEC win COMBINED. Sure, Vanderbilt will be favored by 21 in Vegas, seriously? Better win by 40 if you want to crack the top 25 in the polls, this better be a rout.

Will Trane needs to be put on staff. Well Said Will. Everybody’s all hyped up about winning a few games over poor teams. Looks to me like there are alot of talented guys running around, but its still just a click off. Next two games will give a could indication for balance of this year and next.

This is a ‘must win’ road game against an sec opponent. We better bring our A game.

Seriously everyone? It’s Vandy. Their offense struggles to score against air. I’m not expecting an A Game out of Georgia this week, and I still figure they’ll win by 2 touchdowns.

Dooley and Munson, does anyone wonder why I have a negative outlook? Then take into consideration that my family farmed for generations. Well Ma, if the prices stay up, and the insects don’t eat up our crops, and we get rain and it quits at harvest time, we stand a good chance of breaking even this year. I am not counting Vandy out. I am not counting anyone out. If UGA played Slippery Rock I would be worried about that game.
