“Aron White, Aron White, folks… he’ll be here all week. Try the veal.”

One of my favorite Dawgs has a suggestion on how to keep Orson Charles on campus next season.

… The big question is whether starter Orson Charles will go pro. White, who has been sharing snaps with Charles for most of the past few years, has an angle on how Georgia can get Charles to return:

Get White into the end zone in the Outback Bowl.

White and Charles are tied for the all-time touchdown record for a tight end at Georgia. So White, a senior, hopes that he gets one in the bowl game to take the lead, and then Charles decides he wants the record and returns for his senior year.

“So everybody root for me to score a touchdown in the bowl if you want Orson to come back,” White said. “I’m doing this for you all, not for me.”

Okay, maybe he’s not being completely selfless about it.

White also joked – at least he was probably joking – that he didn’t want Charles to go pro now and “kill my draft stock.”

It’s been a good year for a DGD.

Yeah this is the version I know. Who came up with “shout it out”? Super lame.

        The current band director.

No argument on the “lame” comment though.

George Bush doesn’t care about black people.

I assume you meant to say he didn’t care about the color of a person’s skin, as none of us should. It would be silly to think a President who appointed not one, but two, Secretaries of State, was hung up on skin color. I am sure he, like so many of us, welcome all those who embrace American values and we don’t see them as black, white, or whatever nationality/race they are so long as they don’t try to tear down or attack our country. Damned good man! I would have have been proud for me, or my son, to have served under him. I wish I could say I felt the same way now, but that would be a lie. Hopefully America will soon return to being a strong nation with consistent, trustworthy leadership. That is my hope, unfortunately I don’t have great confidence that we are smart enough as an electorate to put strong enough leaders in office to correct the problems we face.

Back on topic, Aron White he is a heckuva man and a DGD.

It’s a pretty strong point, whether you are an irrational hater, or not. We should defend the white hat guys, too few of them. W may not have been popular with the radical left, but no one can say he wasn’t a good man; he was sincere and honest. No reason to allow him to be cheap-shotted just because he belongs to the wrong party for some.

It’s so nice to see him conducting a victory song with that GT logo in the background.

I don’t know what’s more surprising: him conducting a victory song with the GT logo in the background, or him breathing oxygen while doing so.

He will be remembered fondly for his articulation of a good sense of humor. If he achieves what he likes in the pros, he will always have a job on any UGA alum’s staff. Who wouldn’t want an intelligent competitive Dawg working with them? You would always recognize him since he will be the only guy with a hedge growing in his office.

“Shout it Out”, or whatever it is called, has been one of the best additions to the Red Coat rotation since they added Krypton (about 10 years ago?).

At any rate, the horn arrangement on it is ripped from Dancing Machine by the Jackson Five.

Aron White has to rank pretty high on the UGA all-interview team, but for my money, right behind Ray Gant. That guy was a great quote.

❤ 'd me some Aron White since his first catch, a 48 yarder against LSU in '08, sent Uncle Vern into a tizzy. Did yall catch this clip before this years SEC championship game? http://sportswithmike.com/2011/11/aron-white-the-honey-badger-and-winnie-the-pooh/
