Can we have some of whatever your computer game is smoking?

Over at Team Speed Kills, cocknfire’s EA’s NCAA Football ’13 simulation of the upcoming season has resulted in a national championship for your undefeated Georgia Bulldogs.

Hope this is not the same as being on the cover of SI or winning the Par 3 contest at Augusta.

Personally, I think he just found you can run Murray in a set pattern mimicking the old Bo Jackson moves in Techmo Bowl and score every time.

      Tecmo Bowl was the ish!
Me to my roommate, “QUIT STEALING MY PLAYS!”
      My roommate, “[giggle, snort]”
Darryl Green was underrated on that game.

The second version added more plays, and was still amazing. I got it from the Wii store and my kid was bored in five minutes.

Can’t we claim this as a national championship? Alabama would.

When I went thru the season on Dynasty Mode I got the same results. (I did Georgia only, not every SEC team as it appears CocknFire did).
And NotCrowell won the Heisman despite much action missed for injury.

I was going to hold off even mentioning the alternate PS3 universe, BUT I rented the game to see if it is worth anything and, like you, my #1 RB (hypothetically Crowell) won the Heisman. The Dawgs got USC in the Sugar Bowl, though, and lost a tight one. (That is a battle I would abide in our ‘real’ world — to lay one on Kiffykins but good).

But to bear out its fantastic cred, ’13 placed FOUR Wisconsin OL on the 1st Team AA & 2 LBs and a LE! Bizarro World, indeed.

I have to admit (and I’m notoriously prone to drinking KoolAid) this got me pretty pumped up…admittedly ridiculous, just reading what a video game computer did on simulation mode.

I don’t see Alabama losing 4 games, though. I also don’t see Auburn winning the West.

Yes, Auburn winning the West is where I had to put down the crackpipe in favor of a reality check. It was a fun read though.

I honestly got pumped reading the week to week on this! I will say 56-3 vs buffalo doesn’t seem out of the question. If only these computer game dreams could come true!…. I’m ready to take out my 401k and spend a week in Miami! Ill be the wasted guy in red & black soaking in every memory. I was born in 81. I’ve been waiting for that day for 31 years now. …. One time, gibe it to me!

For some reason the nerds at EA Sports love Auburn. I have played a 4 year dynasty on ’12 and Auburn is always in the Top 10 at the end of the season. Then again they had Vandy going 9-3 one year and Tech consistantly winning the ACC Coastal (or Atlantic?) so I guess we know where the majority of them went to school.

I haven’t plsyed the game for a couple of years (I refuse to spend $60 on anything that has TGPOOE on it) so I have to ask this: does EA Sports account for NCAA violations?

The very best news here is 13-0 means we will win the SEC in 2012. no nerd, talking head, or hack writer can change that fact. I plan on drinking to that this evening (even though I have no clue how this computer simulation game works. There is no need to be prematurely pessimistic, plenty of time for me to get nervous in about two weeks.

So if Auburn wins the West does that mean SOS still complains about UGA’s easy schedule?
