SEC on CBS, 2013 edition

Here’s what’s out there so far:

Sept. 14              Alabama at Texas A&M                3:30 PM

Oct. 19               SEC Doubleheader                        12:00 NOON;  3:30 PM

Nov. 2                 Georgia vs. Florida                                3:30 PM

Nov. 9                SEC Doubleheader                         3:30 PM; 8:00 PM

Nov. 29               Arkansas at LSU                             2:30 PM

Dec. 7                SEC Championship                         4:00 PM

I’m not really sure what the magic is on October 19th.  There is a full slate of conference games that day, but none look like marquee matchups today.

November 9th is all about Ole Miss-Arkansas… just kidding.  CBS wants another Alabama-LSU prime time game.  The rest of that day is kind of meh.

The 9/14 game won’t have much hype going in, right?

I would very much love for Vandy’s first-ever home game on CBS to be when the 5-1 Dores host UGA on October 19!

Re: Bama vs A&M – Saw an Aggie wearing a shirt this weekend that said “Beatdown in Bama 29-24”. Methinks that does not mean what he thinks it means. Though I can see a beatdown coming this fall.

I’m betting that one of the games on Oct. 19 will be Florida and Missouri.
The other may be Old Miss and LSU.

I’m not sold that Alabama is going to walk over A&M. The SEC dealt the Aggies the Ace of Spades when they took them in. They will have a huge recruiting edge forever or until the conference adds another team from Texas.

It’s hard to believe how far the Florida/Tennessee game has fallen. That was the marquee SEC game for years. Now it’s an afterthought.

The only way Nick v. Johnny Football gets any better is if Johnny Baseball throws out the first pitch

Arkansas taking a swoon kind of left a hole on Oct 19th. I guess the double header means two pretty good games vs. one above average.

LSU vs. Ole Miss should be pretty good.

Bama vs A&M will be the most hyped game since the Bama-LSU BCS game. Gross.

Look for Saban to do his usual executioner’s efficient job in this revenge game.

I’m with uglydawg on this. Bama may win but it won’t be a beatdown, if the Tide wins at all.
