It’s been a while since I’ve seen one of those “March Madness is waaay better than college football, dude” pieces, and this one manages to hit all the old, familiar high points.
But the only ones interested will be the fans of the teams that are involved and your normal college football fans. Your mother and grandmother and hipster cousin won’t suddenly jump on board to watch the college football Final Four…
He says that like it’s a bad thing.

UPDATE: Apples and oranges.
No one jumps in to watch the Final Four. They jump in to watch the first weekend, then lose interest after their brackets crumble and the upsets fade.

Its not the Final Four or for that matter the first weekend that’s the problem. IIts the time from November to mid March that very few are watching any more because just about everyone with a pulse makes. Saying that, here’s hoping Fox’s Hounds have that pulse.

Pisses me off that all this college basketball talk gets attention while no one is talking about Spring Football practice, depth charts, competitive spring exhibition games, etc., things that really matter. Finally get the damned Olympics off my Dateline Channel, and now here comes basketball. Tick…tick…tick.

Basketball pro and college is great for the last two minutes of the game. If ESPN could do a red zone of basketball games last minute they would have me. Like their season basketball is only exciting when it’s almost over.
