Kirby, if you’ve got a spare scholarship lying around…

… may I suggest you spend it here?  Seniors who are on the Lou Groza Award watch list and available don’t grow on trees.

      Good question. I recall there was a situation recently (Big XII maybe?) where they approved a rule change that allowed walk-on who transferred to another program where they had a scholarship offer to be eligible immediately, but this is sort of the inverse. It feels like he should be eligible immediately. If program A yanks your scholarship, why should you have to sit out a year before starting at program B? It’s not like he’s the one who’s initiating the need to transfer. That feels against the whole “Student-Athlete” thing that they’re working so hard to protect. 😐
