Big talk from a coach whose team is coming off a 3-8 season.

  1. Let’s hope Fish Fry goes 0-12 this year, and tech still can’t afford to fire him.

He would have been better off simply pointing out that tech beat FSU for one of their 3 wins last season.

And it was no way a fluke win, and he certainly wasn’t yelling at the guy returning the blocked kick to get down right up until he scored.

Spoken like a coach that is bullet proof. When you coach for the Trade School where the Alumni could care less since lots of them aren’t from around here you have no pressure.

You want to see him crap his pants talk to him about outlawing cut blocking. I herd one of the changes this year is you can’t cut now except between the tackles and backs can’t come back from out side and cut. We’ll see if the officials are as bad at calling this as they are the 3 yard down field LOS calls. Steve Shaw did explain that for some stupid reason the Umpire had been responsible for that call. I guess that was in between being blocked and knocked down. No wonder it was never called except on UGA fake punts. Shaw said they changed who calls it during last season (probably after Saban threaten to kick him out of the Red Elephant Club) to the Line Judge. Stupid me I always thought it was his call.

Per Steele, quite a few opponents get extra time to prepare for his gimmick offense this season too. The defense was the only reason some of their losses were close and lost a lot. It’ll be interesting to see how the 4-5 diehard fans react to another losing season (I’m fervently hoping BC somehow finds enough offense to destroy them in Ireland.)

Do you know how awesome it’s going to be when he does? And they move away from his offense? They’re so talent-poor right now. They’re looking at 2-3 years of rebuilding. It’s going to be beautiful.

  10. I know that little Johnson is a big dick but is no one besides me shocked by those numbers? Jeez if those are the correct records maybe we are dawgrading with Tech just like we do with everyone else in the world except UF (FU) and Alabama. . It strikes me that the real gap must be between the ACC and SEC. What ts UGA’s record against the bees in the last 9 years….
Maybe the questioner should be a little better informed before he asks a question based on perception not reality

I had the same thought as you did regarding the record. That is not a bad record at all against those schools. Now…if he is coaching at Tech for three more years that winning record against Clemson will not be there any longer due to the huge talent gap that is starting to develop between the two schools. For all he crap FSU fans gave UGA and Richt….Jimbo’s record against them is rather alarming given the huge talent difference and the fact that many think Jimbo is a great coach.

PJ is 2-6 vs UGA, right? The two wins were one score affairs. ’08 just ridiculous and ’14 was just a game no one wanted to actually win it seemed. He’s kept it close for the most part. I think PJ’s teams have been blown out twice.

COFH is just a different animal.

He’s not going to brag about his record vs Miami or VT either. But yeah, Dabo should be embarrassed at Auburn With A Lake’s record vs the Trade School.
