Those guys had such a young man’s cockinesss in their walk and facial expressions. Ahh, to be young and immortal.

Actually, when Hutchinson and the rest of the Wolverines were about to run out of the tunnel, and the camera was on them, you could see just how wide-eyed they were. This was going to be too big for them.

I felt so much better about the game after that.

Someone needs to send a gif or short vid clip of Salyer PANCAKING Hutchinson last night. I swear to God I saw him do that. No one’s talking about it though. I did see it, right? Someone else here see it?

Wonder who came up with the Vanilla Ice outfits they wore before the game? Atrocious

I admit I hadn’t watched Michigan all year, but it’s comical to me that they were the best team in the Big 10. They were manhandled at the LOS on both sides all night. They would be 7-5 in the SEC with their DL and OL.

Yeah, I’m watching Arkansas and Kentucky play the cream of the Big 10 today. Looking to see how two teams we destroyed will do against the Big 10 runner-up and Pedo State.

Maybe it’s bias. Those guys looked ‘affected’, but when normally jovial Jordan Davis showed no emotion walking out to the coin toss I thought he was in the right frame of mind and wanted to dismember somebody.

My son commented at the coin toss that Nakobe Dean looked like he was ready to kill someone

      • When Dean went all the way across the field to take that jet screen out, I imagine Khaki Pants was just thinking “holy $#!+! What are we doing here?”

Why do you think he was wearing a hoodie, in 80 degree weather…witness protection program…

        • He called a swing pass on 4th and Goal from the 6.

Harbaugh really had no frikkin clue last night, and you could see it on McNamara’s face. It was like they had watched film with a distinct “but they can’t do that to a Big10 team” POV.

I actually saw someone say Michigan had good team speed because they had numerous sub 4.6 receivers and a RB who runs a 4.4

          Like… dude… you just don’t get it.

You had a team with big players with Michigan.

You had a team of fast players with Cincinnati.

Playing opponents who were both big and fast.

I admit to being kind of surprised at the LOS dominance all game long. I knew Georgia was better in those position groups, but I really thought Michigan would hold their own more often than not.

            Nope

Loved watching JD run down their “fast” running back along the line of scrimmage

            • That was great! I said at the time that running back looked up to watch the replay and thought, “that’s just not possible. He’s too big to move like that.”

It’s not that #99 is toooo big to do that, it’s that meeeeshigun had never seen anyone do that, down after down …ever…GO DAWGS!

I think Cincy and Michigan are both good teams but the talent disparity between them and Bama and us is really stark. This isn’t a revelation when it comes to the Bearcats (being in a non-P5 conference and all), but in Michigan’s case it shows just how wide the gap is between a top 3 recruiter and one in the top 10-15. The Dawgs are bigger, stronger, faster and flat out better at football.

The Senator used to note that, under Richt, just being a top 10-15 recruiter wasn’t going to cut it in the SEC. And it didn’t. That (and some questionable assistant coaching hires) is why the Outback Bowl was pretty much the program’s ceiling.

Agree!! But damn did Richt come close a couple of times.

    • Richt’s teams played in one Outback Bowl.

      3 Sugar Bowls.
      2 Capital One (Citrus) Bowls.

      But ok.

Missed what was it 2003 because of the UF game and there were 2 undefeateds. 2012 was the worst. The catch at the goalline. We would have plastered ND. 2007 we would have been very likely to win the a CFO format. This isn’t a defense of Richt or criticism of Kirby. Just saying he had teams that were good enough to win and that could beat the competition without consecutive top 3 classes.

  8. Not Dawgrading here, but those defensive ends got their @$$3$ handed to them for most of the night by Salyer and McClendon. The one play where Hutchinson thought he had 1-on-1 and then got stoned by Zeus was beautiful. That Joe Moore Award winning offensive line was overwhelmed by the best line of scrimmage unit in the sport.

I saw FitzPatrick doing a job on Hutchinson also. Our perimeter blocking by the receivers was wonderful to behold.

Our guys were better at all levels. Hutchinson didn’t impress me at all. He doesn’t even look like the physical specimen thay would be the Heisman runner up. No way he is better than Will Anderson.

I was really surprised at how slow and small they were.

Hutchinson and the other Michigan players looked so much smaller with their helmets on at the kickoff. Davis is bigger than everyone but he and Hutchinson are listed at the same height but he looked 2-3 inches bigger without a helmet.

  14. Prior to last night, Hutchinson was getting some talk as #1 overall in the next NFL draft. I don’t see how you could take him over Anderson or Thibodeaux. I saw first rounders out there, but none were wearing Blue.

    • If last night was any indication, I know why he “looked” so good all season. He lined up with his helmet in the neutral zone all night long. Not that it did him much good last night, but he had a head start on virtually every play.

Seriously, if the Falcons don’t find a way to draft a couple of Smith, Salyer, Cook, or Tindall, then fuck them.

Man, Salyer can come right in and fix a lot of o-line problems for some very specific teams next year.

Thinking Falcons, Giants, Jets, Lions, Seahawks.

If any of those teams pass on him and let someone like New England take him towards the bottom of the first round, they deserve to remain terrible.

Travon and Co. need to bring that hellfire to Indy, then fan its flames till it’s hotter than Hades itself. Didn’t see or feel the hate in the SECCG. That’s got to change.
