Your Daily Gator, still in denial

This dude is still partying like it’s 2019.

You’d think a couple of national championships might change one’s perspective, but noooooooo…

By the way, sport, recruiting is part of coaching.  Just ask Dan Mullen.

Way too early SEC power poll

This one comes from USA Today’s Paul Myerberg.  Here’s how he sees it:

  1. Georgia
  2. Alabama
  3. Tennessee
  4. LSU
  5. Texas A&M
  6. Ole Miss
  7. Kentucky
  8. Arkansas
  9. South Carolina
  10. Mississippi State
  11. Florida
  12. Auburn
  13. Missouri
  14. Vanderbilt

I can quibble a little bit here and there, but really, it drives home a big gap between the top two and  the rest of the conference.  No, neither Georgia nor ‘Bama are flawless, but they don’t have wholesale shortcomings on one side of the ball or the other as do the rest.

Thoughts?

Is Carson Beck Georgia’s version of Bo Nix?

As someone who has taken repeated pleasure in mocking the annual Heisman worship of the former Auburn quarterback, I have to admit this strikes me as pretty cringy.

The thing is, Georgia really doesn’t need Beck to be a Heisman candidate to have a great season.
