“Plan”? I do not think that word means what you think it means.

I don’t find it surprising in the least that Urban Meyer was blissfully unaware of the local Quran burning scheduled hours after UF’s game tomorrow.  But to find out from his players?  The university’s police department didn’t think it was prudent to pass on a warning about it?

That’s cracker jack work there, fellas.  Keep up the good show.

The UF PD had heard rumors that someone in Alachua County was creating a ‘climate of control and fear’.

In their defense, they mistakenly thought it was just Irwin blowing another Section 37F gasket against the internet people and other media scum.

Once the UF PD learned of the mistaken identity,

“The Christian fundamentalist threatening to burning a copy of the Koran this weekend was expelled from a previous church for Islamophobic behaviour and creating a ‘climate of control and fear’.

they thought it wise not to distract Irwin with the intel because they weren’t sure whether Gainesville is big enough to hold two malcontents at the same time.

I’m shocked, SHOCKED to find out that there is xenophobic redneck activity going on in Gainesville, Florida.

I lived in Florida for a while so I can say with certainty that the red neck is alive and well in the Sunshine State. One problem is that people from other parts confuse red necks with good ole boys. Good ole boys drive the pickups with the UGA tag on the front bumper and probably graduated from UGA. Red necks cannot afford the truck or the education. Good ole boys prefer khakis and golf shirts, red necks tend to wear jeans and tees or the ever popular wifebeater. Wifebeaters better showcase all those jailhouse tatoos. One can really enjoy watching the Dawgs in a bar full of good ole boys. Red neck bars can be dangerous and should be avoided. Unless one is fond of knife wounds.
