Christmas day buffet

Hey, my people are eating Chinese today, but here are a few things we can all taste:

  • Marc Weiszer gives us a status report on Georgia’s 2010 class.
  • I have a feeling that Philip Fulmer’s idea of his market value and the market’s idea of his market value are vastly different.
  • Lane Kiffin is still causing trouble in Tennessee.
  • Nice catch on Terrelle Pryor and who needs the money in his family.
  • And Stewart Mandel tells Dawg fans that we have every right to be miffed about the NCAA’s ruling in Tatgate.
  • But don’t worry, baby.  The NCAA promises to get it right next time.
  • A.J.’s one-handed catch against Colorado makes Doc Saturday’s ten-best-plays-of-the-year list.

“Retired University of Alabama law professor Gene Marsh, a former NCAA infractions committee member, has publicly questioned the deterrent effect of penalties handed out by the 10-person panel.
He now works as a legal consultant to schools under NCAA scrutiny, including Auburn…”

I’d bet we didn’t hire this guy to represent AJ.

Seems like we got a pretty good law school of our own. Maybe we should hire a few law professor types to represent our kids…..all in the interest of fair play of course.

Maybe Phil was looking for a face-saving way to explain why he didn’t get the Minnesota job. “I cost too much for ’em” would work.

        War Canes?

My first order of Oregon Nike apparel arrived just in time for me to annoy several local Auburn fans. Merry Christmas, you cheating bastards.

Given that $cam newton is bigger than any starter on Oregon’s DL, I have a bad feeling about the BCS game, but c’est le guerre.

Thank the lord that the folks at the NCAA are going to get it right in the future. I was really starting to worry.
Yes….. once we get the fine names of Cam Newton and Terrelle Pryor un-besmirched AFTER the bowl games. Its back to business as usual. Great to hear. Its comforting…..no make that ASSURING to know the NCAA can be equally fair once the bowl season money checks get cashed. ……..
Until then I am extended a big fat middle finger from the continent of Australia and of course, the obligatory “fuck you” to Mark Emmert.

Somebody explain exactly why we need the NCAA. Why not resurrect the old CFA? Or simply use the BCS as a vehicle? If the major conferences all get together they can give the NCAA the finger. A worthless organization lead by an idiot.
