For some reason, Georgia Tech threw the ball 33 times in yesterday’s spring game. The good news is that Paul Johnson may be grooming the heir to Reggie Ball.
… Washington, who largely met coaches’ expectations this spring, had a forgettable afternoon. He threw three interceptions, lost two fumbles, took three sacks and completed 10 of 26 passes.
It was bad enough that Jeff Schultz wasn’t being totally facetious in suggesting that Tech may have found a quarterback in Washington’s backup, who was a stellar 2-7 without any interceptions.
Of course it’s possible that Tech is suddenly a top ten team on defense…
Oh, as a bonus, Tech’s kickers missed all three of their field goal attempts.
They even had 7,000 people show up to watch that snoozefest. Sad thing was they advertised it as Battleship Galactica convention to attract a crowd.

Tech ’11 record: 3-9. Duke beats them. Johnson officially pronounced to be on “hot seat” by ESPN. Atlanta Journal Constitution refuses to follow suit taking official editorial position that Johnson is a genius and the losses are a figment of everyone’s imagination. Thousands of Tech alumni storm Grant Field clamoring for Chan Gailey to be rehired.

Would that be the kind of hotseat where you have a bad season and get fired or the kind of hot seat where you have a bad season and THEN go on double secret probation hot seat?
I TOLD YOU SO!!!1!!11

Well at least 50% of the Tech Student body will be happy one of their countrymen is now a QB at Tech. Oh he’s not Indian/Pakistani, sorry.

Don’t know if its intended or not, but “Synjyn” is the way Brits pronounce “Saint John”.
The guy from The Nanny appeared on Mad Men as a character “Saint John Powell” with said pronunciation.
