    Perfect choice of words.

We don’t give out rings for beating Tech.

Yet another example of the hypocrisy of college athletics. I personally think selling the ring is poor form, especially so quickly after receiving it. Nonetheless, I think Fred Gibson was essentially correct and that they should be able to do anything they want with property they have earned or been given, including selling rings for 2K if they can get it and need the money.

Good thing we got our ass kicked in that SECCG. I wonder if any of the other rings ever got recovered.

That is ancient history to this incoming class. I like it that these kids take it upon themselves to go recruit for their new school and show some enthusiasm. GATA, new Dawgs!

The issue here is their enthusiasm to recruit their peers. It doesn’t have to make sense to us…it just has to work for them. They know how to communicate with each other.

I really hate that players would sell something so rarely earned, and I am mystified that anyone would buy one. Why not just go buy yourself a trophy nerd, you haven’t earned the right to wear it when you simply buy it. But it should be noted this isn’t a UGA thing, it happens to all teams, at all levels. Vegas pawn shops can get you a Super Bowl Ring, a World Series Ring, or various championship rings, pro or college.

Everything I hear about Theus has been good. I hope he also realizes talk about rings is pretty easy, we will wait until they earn one to celebrate.

Theus just lead his team to their third state title in 4 yers. He knows a little something about whay it takes to be a champion.

Michigan objects to and doesn’t understand the two coaching staffs granted by the NCAA. NCAA says it isn’t uncommon. Would the NCAA please inform Mi, me and numerous other uninformed entities who those teams were and the yr plus reasoning applied? It’s a simple request.

+1 I also didn’t think the NCAA had any control over bowls (maybe that is just BCS bowls). If they don’t, I feel we should all play RS players. No different from a spring game, just involves another school (and I would like to tsee those against other schools in the area too.)

  10. Personally I like that they are using something to try to recruit other players. If this years class contributes as much as freshmen as last years I will love it. Their goal should be to win rings, SEC ones and hopefully a national title one.
