Does Bobby Petrino have a medical condition?

About what led to this heartwarming moment,

… Bobby Petrino claims he’s drawing a complete blank.

Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino said he couldn’t recall what he was upset about, but had been made aware of his sideline and postgame actions during the 41-17 loss to LSU on Nov. 25. And, while he didn’t exactly offer an apology Saturday, Petrino did concede he has to work on it.

“That was a long time ago to be honest with you, you don’t recall things like that,” Petrino said Saturday. “I was told about it. Obviously, I’ve got to be more aware of my actions and my language.

“We’ll work on improving that.”

“Been made aware”?  He’s a standup guy, so all I can figure is that it’s the early onset of Alzheimer’s.  I’d have that checked, Coach.

Clearly, he wasn’t in his right mind, or he would have just typed a note to Les Miles and had an assistant leave it on his desk.

Petrino, whether he is a dick or not (he is), being upset is understandable. His team led the game by 14 points at one point. The game was close all the way into the 4th quarter when his team got overwhelmed by LSU’s depth and a series of mishaps which led to several late scores that gave the final score of what had been a competitive game the appearance of a route. This was fostered, at least in part, by Les’ obvious attempt to run up the score. Does any of this sound familiar Dawg fans? I am pissed off at LSU, too to the same reasons. I was yelling a lot worse things than Petrino yelled I can tell you. I hope Les rots in hell and takes Jordan Jefferson, the Honey Badger and the SEC ref crew that worked the SECCG there with him.

So you are pissed at LSU for beating Georgia? Their 4th string running back ran through the defense in the second half. Perhaps you wanted Mathieu to pull a Logan Gray when the ball was kicked to him. How many times are games close after three quarters and the other team pulls away at the end? It happens all the time. In a conference with coaches like Muschamp, Spurrier, Franklin, and Chizik I think Les Miles and LSU should be way down on the hate list.

Meh. They beat us. It wasn’t like they ran up the score. They were handing the ball off. And when you’re a coach who once called a late time out in order to tack on a meaningless field goal against KENTUCKY, you don’t get to have your feelings hurt when a legitimate team with national title hopes scores against you. It’s your job to stop them, not cry about it afterwards. Eat a dick, Petrino.

Didn’t another dickhead call time out at the end of the Jax game after he had done the same thing to Miami previously? His latest handle is “Double-dickhead” in tribute to fielding two staffs; one to coach a bowl game and another to recruit.

My attitude toward running up the score is pretty much aligned, ironically enough, with Steve Spurrier’s: “I’ll stop tryin’ to score on them when they stop tryin’ to score on me.”

LSU beat us fair and square. There wasn’t any running up the score in that whipping. We’ll get our chance at redemption soon enough.

Spurmier calling a double-reverse touchdown pass up by 3 scores with less than 5 minutes to go – THAT’S running up the score.

But….but….he showed fire and emotion on the sideline. Surely he must be a coach we need on our sideline

Jim Donnan did the same thing to Fulmer while the Pumkin’ King was running us out of Knoxville. So what? Les lucky streak won’t last forever in spite of over signing. . Not very classy of Petrino. Not every coach can be CMR. Every dog has his day! CUE UP…….

The expression is “Every dog has its day.” …..something that you say which means that everyone is successful during some period in their life. I never gave the singular thing any thought. I do know for a fact that Corey wasn’t too keen about school. Sure can pick a guitar.

The Atlanta Falcons just called and said Bobby Petrino can go get fucked. That weasel is one of the last guys on Planet Earth to be lecturing anyone on gentlemanly class.

Gonna play devil’s advocate here, yeah the guy’s a prick but does it really matter? Petrino gets paid big bucks to win football games not to be a nice guy, and frankly he’s pretty good at the former. On the flip side I like CMR: primarily because he wins football games. is he a class act? yup. is that a nice fringe benefit? sure. But as long as my coach is winning I could care less what he does on or off the field provided it’s not illegal or just completely f’d up. Coaches are there to win games not be model citizens or even decent human beings. if that weren’t the case a lot more people would be qualified to coach d1 football.

I personally don’t care that he said a bad word on the sidelines. I’ve said worse in the last half hour. But I do find him to be the worst sort of hypocrite because he’s getting his poor ol’ little feelings hurt because LSU ran up the score on him well after he’d defaulted to the moral victory of being ahead early, when he’s rubbed other, lesser teams’ noses in it far worse and often.

Exactly right. It is not that he is a world class dick, God Knows we have had our nose rubbed in it by our fair share of those. He should OWN his assholedness and quit being a bitch about it. I couldn’t even bring myself to root for Arkanstrash against LSU, even though I would much rather have played them. FU Petrino.

It would just be our luck, and damn wouldn’t he be a perfect FU head coach, if he takes over after Muschump gets his walking papers.

Sign me the hell up for that, and twice on Sunday. Petrino’s “genius” was built on the backs of lesser opponents and well-timed exits. Give Muschamp a couple more years to erode what he’d be walking into, and then watch as Petrino tries to build at Florida while getting his teeth kicked in by teams with axes to grind. Arkansas was far overrated this year (and never forget that we had them beaten last year if not for a spectacular lack of tackling on the last drive), and it showed when LSU finally beared down in their game. That’s why Petrino was mad. He wanted the game to end close so he could thump his chest about how closely they’d played LSU as he carried his moral victory into the offseason. He’s a fine offensive mind, and he’s also a fraud. Petrino’s Gators? Bring. It. On.

I can see the red and black triangular banners flying in the wind as we ride forward on horseback, the drum and bugle corps playin “Onward Judeo-Christian Soldiers” and the Fing legions of FU League Humpers babbling epithets that waft with the wind, echoing sentiments of past wrongs; “fung you”, “–it fo’brains”, ” ‘ickheds”, all garbled together in the inaugural SEC Playoffs kickoff game. All past transgressions wrapped in a festive three weeks of round robin playoffs and cuss fests designed to finally decide the baddest-crass team in the Tongueing-Mothers Land. You can just smell the piss and vinegar!
