Shorter Bob Davie: Let me humbly say that there isn’t a head coach out there who’s doing a better job than I did at Notre Dame.
I guess we can start penciling New Mexico in as next season’s BCS buster.

“And Georgia fans, don’t be turds. Enjoy this. Soak it up. It’s awesome. If you don’t win this year, it’s still not a failure. It’s a heck of a run. Back-to-back in the Playoff era hasn’t been done. So, to ask for a third I feel like it’s gluttonous. I feel like it’s not OK. But we’ll be in the mix.”-- David Pollack, On3.com, 5/9/23

I am really happy that Bob Davie has a coaching job. Now if we can get Ed Cunningham and Mark Jones to call WNBA games instead of college football everything will be great.
In all seriousness, I actually liked Davie’s insight, it was his monotone broadcasting style that got to me. No doubt that the man knows football but I’m not expecting New Mexico to be a powerhouse anytime soon.

Not enough attention gets paid to the fact that Lou Holtz left that program in some NCAA peril. However, it takes some doing to ram Notre Dame into the ground, and Bob Davie did just that. It’s never really recovered.

I thought Ty Willingham did more to damage Notre Dame football than Davie. Davie had to contend with the Holtz mess and left the cupboard in such good shape that Willingham had a 10 win season the next year after Davie left. After that it was straight down hill and their program has never really recovered.

We need to get Mark May a coaching gig. His obvious bias and hate for UGA frustrates me.

His obvious lack of knowledge about anything other than defensive line play (and sometimes even that) is going to be a stumbling block for any potential jobs.

“Since Davie isn’t using this job to spring to a bigger and better job,”
And for those who believe that, it’s suggested that you call 1-800-Reality

I got that same number from a lawyer in Penn. Can’t wait to call it I understand that it is moral building. We could use some of that for this team. Anyone know how to tweet the number?
