I think they are getting a somewhat similar offense in the Outback Bowl — or at least one that believes it can hammer some RBs at the Dawgs to loosen them for the passing game. That MSU quarterback is a crafty senior veteran as well, and a fair piece more accurate than J.Jefferson. It will be an intriguing afternoon of cat-n-mouse but I think we’ve got the cats to handle it.

Of all the teams in the Big 10 MSU is the one most dangerous for us.

I am assuming that a) while the teams are similar there are few if any areas that msu has better personnel (special teams notwithstanding) and that b) Crowell will be healthy for the first time in quite a while. If I am correct in these assumptions we should be able to manage this game relatively easy.
One thing we know is that given how bama rolled them last year and how we played in Memphis I don’t think either team will want for motivation although you would think we still get an edge there in order to get that LSU beatdown behind us and to make a statement going into 2012.

Sorry, I don’t see anything easy about this match-up. Can we win by 2 TDs? Sure, but it will be because we execute like we did against The aU, or they make mistakes, or decide to not show up like we did last year against CF. That is the real key to most bowl games, who will show up in mid-season form.
Of all the bowls, this seems to be the toughest one to call based on the stats coming in. I will UGA, but no way to have great confidence at this point. You have to like CMR’s approach to looking at it as the 1st game of 2012, let’s hope the team sees it that way and plays like they are tired of being taken lightly. If we play wide-open I think we are the better team. The most encouraging thing I see about MSU is they lost to ND and struggled with tosu, ateam they should have wanted some revenge against after all the years of being beaten down by the cheaters. With these two defenses I see a 20-16 type game. If we score 24+ I feel we would have to “gift” them 2 TDs to lose. Only problem is, we did that twice this season in our 3 losses. If you want “easy”, the Dawgs aren’t your team, we prefer to keep fans on the edge of the seat until the last minute.

I’d rather put my money on uga then risk it on Alabama-LSU and Wisconsin-Oregon or WVU-Clemson.
One very under discussed fact is that we haven’t lost to a big ten team since 1957 and we are something like 11 or 12-1 all time. Big east teams whip our asses but we dominate the big ten. Don’t know why but it’s true.

My gosh the reporters keep on and keep on hammering Jarvis about trying to go pro. He flat out told them no over a month ago and they still keep on badgering him. It’s like they are so surprised someone can honestly be committed to Georgia’s program

Except for that one 95 yard, 4 play drive, the defense was pretty damned solid that night. Offensive giveaways, and STs horror show was responsible for the score that made that game look less competitive than it was. Only good part of that is many “headline only” fans will see that and run the betting line up on next year’s game in LSU’s favor….that is when we slip in and pick the bookies’ pocket.
I think LSU had 240 total yards of offense, so when you take that 4 play lapse away, there isn’t much to chew on them about. JJ had around 30 yards passing.
