“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
Genius, I sez!

I meant – Lost Vandy. Shame on you for picking Tech.

For a little while there, it looked like hell was going to freeze over.
It was a very, very happy ending!
Did anyone catch the Mississippi State- WF game? Did you hear the announcers actually trying to say the closeness of the contest proved ACC/SEC were equal?
It was bittersweet seeing Vandy lose to the World.

The announcers were also talking about Big East redemption with their “big win” over the SEC (bottom feeder – they left that part out).

The gtu bowl tour continues. Let’s see, they’ve lost in El Paso, Boise, San Francisco, Jax, Miami,…. We’re running out of bowls.

Don’t forget other key bowl destinations like Fresno, Seattle, and SHREVEPORT.
Georgia Tech sucks at life. It’s like putting your hand on your little brother’s forehead and let him swing away for 20 minutes, only to knock him on the floor with a quick cheap knee to the face.

Bo Back (sic) argued the other day that Al Groh IS a better coordinator than Todd Grantham and Brian Van Gorder. I heard him argue this with my own two ears.

We don’t know how good of a DC Groh is. He works for Tech and has no material.

That is the same Beau Bock who, in the 1990s said Jerry Glanville was a great coach and Bobby Cox a bad manager. At least he is consistent!

Agreed I also heard this. Groh is right up there w jheri glandville( oh yes auto correct) and grantham is pretty much garbage. Mark Bradley called and he agrees , though his agreeance was muffled by gis gargling cpj’s nard sack .
Btw tevin Washington doesn’t do anything great but does errything well according to gairy dan’lsn. Good to know- next heisman starts today !!!

You have a 14 point lead, a Genius Coach directing a clock eating, unstoppable offense, and you lose to another mid-major? This doesn’t even get into how a terrible QB beats you deep on a 4th and 14. Why would anyone commit to play there? Especially academically gifted student-athletes who go with full knowledge GT has the worst graduation rate of all D1 programs. So they aren’t going for the athletic rewards of respect and titles, nor the degree….. must be the cute Flagboys.

The awesome part is when they decide to change coaches their whole roster is filled w option offense players ! Take a couple years to flush that mess out and find some pro style blockers , qb’s, rbs’s etc.. By then after a couple of 4-8 years they’ll hire ga southern coach again and repeat the shame spiral. Fun fun fun.

The best part will be the offensive line. The new coach can find a JUCO or decent HS QB, but it will take 2-3 years to grow a decent starting Oline. That will be Chantastic!

They’re stuck with Johnson at least for a while. Their Athletic funds are depleted from having to pay off Paul Hewitt. I haven’t seen the contract but Johnson undoubtedly has a big buyout. The Nerds can’t afford to get rid of him.

I love it! Up by 14 with less than 7 minutes left in the game and they manage to screw it up! Outstanding! I’m off to Stingtalk for a little fun!

You can’t fix stupid. We now have enough data from one school alone to write and publish proof to the axiom that we all knew the answer to in the beginning.
Yeah, but Auburn would have been the trifecta.
And Franklin’s “no-clue” look from the sidelines just filled in this year nicely.
Happy New Year, Dawgs.

A quick prediction ,we will hear from CPJ and the the insects about how the Utah receiver pushed off on their cornerback but you will not hear any of them mention one of the worst blown calls I’ve ever seen on the previous play where their corner grabbed the same receivers arm so as to prevent a two handed catch,.That play was Tech’s karma and should start the hot seat rumors but probably won’t.

Already heard this last night while watching the highlights.

Keeping CPJ just makes the games and wins against GT that much sweeter, just like putting the cherry toping on your desert. GT will likely keep him as his coaching is just enough to keep you extremely delusion which fits well with those North AVE buzzards.

They can’t get rid of him. Imagine a coach trying to run a pro offense with that roster!

Most shocking comment on StingTalk:
“We are arguably the top academic school with a D1 football team. Lower our standards, we could beat UGAy every year. But I’m not willing to risk my degree for that.”
DO THEY ACTUALLY BELIEVE GT IS THE TOP ACADEMIC SCHOOL WITH A D1 FOOTBALL TEAM? – I would rank Duke, Virginia, BC, Wake and UNC as having better overall academics within their own conference. And how about Stanford, Northwestern, Rice, Vanderbilt, Cal, USC, UCLA, and Michigan? All of these D1 schools are ranked higher than GT by US News & World Report.

For all of the gnats’ talk about superior academics, logic obviously is not part of the curriculum at the trade school.

The SAT difference between tech and Georgia is getting to be pretty insignificant and continues to close. I think that makes us the #2 academic school in the universe.

Hmmm, next year we play Ga Southern the week before Ga Tech.
Looking fgor a serious beat down on GT since we see the same offense 2 weeks running.

It kills me when they talk about their lofty academic standards. A few years ago they had a nickel back named Reuben Houston who eventually was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. I went to high school/graduated with him. He was an idiot and his later actions at GT bore that out (drug arrest and babies by different women). They have special majors there for the idiots (called “riding the ‘M’ train” by my GT friends) to keep their players eligible. They are deluding themselves if they think all these guys are pursuing engineering or science degrees.
