This is how you get your quarterback sacked.

One of these two Vols is wrong.

Asked to discuss the Georgia defense the Vols will face Saturday afternoon between the hedges at Sanford Stadium, junior quarterback Tyler Bray said: “They’re going to bring out a lot of exotic stuff.”

Asked the same general question, junior offensive lineman Ja’Wuan James said: “They don’t do too many exotic things.”

Not exactly on the same page there, eh?

Of course James may be trying to send his quarterback a message to worry about the exotics less and where Jarvis Jones lines up more.

So the guy with the stripper tattoo says “They’re going to bring out a lot of exotic stuff.”
Anybody else see the irony in that.

Well, Jarvis isn’t exactly an exotic name, but the pineapple pattern footprint he leaves on your backside as he’s pulverizing your QB is pretty exotic.

So how does this affect hat choice?

Then again it might just mean Bray is not as smart as his offensive lineman.

Bray is both the best, and worst, of that offense. Million dollar arm with a two-bit head. Attitude sucks, and he has “other” issues away from the field. Jarvis could get in his head before, and during, the game but I think UT will scheme to minimize JJ so we need Washington, Jones, and the LBs to step up and pressure him into mistakes. UT will hit a couple on us but will have trouble driving the ball against us without a successful running game.

Say hello to my little friend; his name is Tree.

Hope you are right Scout, he has been a difference maker when he is on the field. We need an answer to the short passing game over the middle so I can just worry about the short passing game on the perimeter. I also like that he has been able to fill the running lanes on stretch plays. Tree can be the catalyst and solve some of the frustrations the defense has had most of this year. Not that our ILBs haven’t had some good games but he is at a different level.

With ‘Tree in the game there is less “not Jarvis Jones” area to run towards where you might be able to get a couple of yards. Make no mistake about it, we are going to see a whole new level of defense on saturday.
