We’ll always have Tebow.

Gator fans, you give love a bad name.

And to think this is a fan base that doesn’t pause twice about mocking us for Herschel worship.

Oh wow. Scroll through the Tweets and look at the picture of Kelly Morgan (@InstiGatorUF). THAT is how I picture every Florida fan. Yes.

For Tim he is learning a lesson that he has never had to before, “Pride goeth before a fall”. He could play pro football but won’t because he doesn’t want to play anything but QB. He is a spoiled child that is pouting because people just don’t understand that he is Tim Tebow college great. He cried when they lost, he would gatorchop his opponents like an ahole and he was the poster child for a sore loser. I’m loving the hell out of his problems.

It’s not just his spoiledness, it’s his brand. Tim Tebow only gets be effective with his prayers in the end zone and shit on his eye black when he is the center of attention, i.e., the QB. Tim Tebow the TE/FB has a compromised ministry, dontcha know. He is NOT just another player (according to his own personal worldview).

I don’t think it’s about pride. It’s about his skill set. Tebow fans will insist that he can do anything. But, he really can’t. Realistically, he can play tight end, or fullback.

Tebow isn’t big enough to be an extra blocker for running plays. And he’s not fast enough to challenge safeties in pass coverage. So he would be a poor tight end.

I think he could be a fullback. But, he would have to learn how to pass block, which is a difficult thing to do in the NFL. Also, fullbacks aren’t valued much. This year, the NFL drafted 3 fullbacks. And the first one went in the fourth round. Why would any NFL team waste time trying to convert a player into a fullback when you can just pick one up as an undrafted free agent and pay him the minimum?

Saw a Gator genius on Twitter asking, in the wake of the Jason Collins story, when Tebow was ever going to get attention for being straight, a devout Christian, etc. Without any irony.

I read some of the responses on AA’s post. “if you stop worrying about his wonky delivery, build a system for him, etc….” I also read this insightful post, “Tim cannot be accurace and cannot make the quick reads, which is why he can’t be a good NFL QB”.

I take it a step further. I don’t think he’s mentally capable of learning how to read and dissect defenses. In the wake of him being drafted, he was asked, “what will you do to be successful in Denver”. His response, “I’m willing to do whatever the coaches ask me to do”.

Look at interviews with Stafford, Ryan, even Sanchez….they all say the same thing, “I’m going to continue to work at developing chemistry, learn the playbook, and be a leader on the field”. They all had a clear idea of what it takes to be a quarterback

I really don’t think Timmy knows how to do that. Physical specimen, yes. Inspirational to some, certainly. Bright football mind, I don’t think so.

Is Tebow the most overrated, overhyped player in the history of the NFL? He’s definitely up there.

Per ESPN on April 30, 2013, 5:14 PM ET … The Omaha Beef offer Tim Tebow a contract:

The Omaha Beef have a job waiting for Tim Tebow if he wants it … and the Nebraska indoor football team will even pay him $75 a game. A day after Tebow was cut by the New York Jets, the Beef called the office of Tebow agent Jimmy Sexton to offer a standard player contract. Beef assistant general manager Andrew Mather said Tuesday that he doesn’t expect to hear back, but he thought it was worth asking. Tebow went unclaimed on NFL waivers Tuesday. The Beef’s quarterback, James McNear, has led the team to a 5-1 start. He’s completing 70 percent of his passes and has thrown for 21 touchdowns against just two interceptions. McNear is anything but insulted by the Beef’s wooing of Tebow. “I think Tim can learn a lot from me,” McNear said.

Why do the UF fans need him to suceed in the NFL? Are they not vaildated in their love if he is not a starting QB? Crazy.

Many of the UF fans that I know don’t know CFB. They don’t know players at other positions (if you asked them about Purifoy and what position he will play this year their response is “Puri-who?”) on their own team. They just wave the chomp, wear loose shoes/jorts and look for a dry place to shit. When told that he takes too long to get off a pass in the Pros, they guffaw that he seemed to know how at FU. When told that Urban was the source of his problem by using him and never teaching what the Pros are looking for in a QB, they counter with “Well, he sure knows how to lift the NC Trophy and he sure knows how to beat the hell out of the Dawgs!” as testimony to their disconnect on the issue.

Many FU fans (but not most by any shot) don’t want to look at the details nor can they be pragmatic about anything concerning the guy. They think the falderal stems from jealous Dawg and other fans. They are the same classless people who started the “Fire Zook” site. I grate my teeth when ignorance proliferates; wheras, some fans’s ignorance proliferates into entire kingdoms (with a mix of theology and politics) for electing governors and officials that regulate their lives and others’ accordingly. Nowadays some post their dislike for the Jags for not hiring Tebow to take his last bows in Fl. Now that’s just plain redneck. They don’t even mention Miami as a possibility because of their name and proximity (not in Northeast Fl.). By the way, there are enough ignorants down there to elect him Gov of that state if he is on a Republican ballot. To give you an idea how that works look only to their present Gov (R) and how the presidential election went(D).

Years ago Ga’s Governor’s campaigns hinged on how many times the candidates used the “N”-word. In Fl it hinges on how many times you use the “J”-word and you know who that might be.

And it feels and has felt to me like Gators fans routinely end up in the stubborn, loud, and unproductive pro side.

Isn’t stubborn, loud, and unproductive implied when one uses the term “Gators fans?”
