Couple of quick points from this piece: CBS will broadcast college football’s greatest meteor game next weekend, as it should, and it’s likely Georgia-LSU will get the 3:30 nod the following week as what should be the only matchup of top ten conference teams.
Was discussing this with a friend…Ole Miss v. Bama could sneak into the 3:30 spot if both teams are still undefeated. The networks love the Yankees and Bama is as close as it gets to that. Flip side…Bama-Mizzou and Bama-Auburn were not draws last year.

I’d like that to happen (since it would mean a night game here), and it’s certainly possible if both are still undefeated, but I’d still strongly predict CBS is in Athens on 9/28.

ESPN may make LSU/UGA the noon game in that case since it appears they want to have one key match up in each timeslot.

Last I checked, it isn’t the mid-90’s, so LSU-UGA as a noon game is lunacy.

If that were to happen, would we get an ESPN night game?

Oh, my bad, shouldn’t have posted until reading the link. I just assumed the “meteor game” in question was TA&M vs. Bamer.

There’s only one. It’s all about tradition in the SEC East 🙂

Well, Georgia’s played Clemson and SC…and LSU has played UAB, someone else, and now will face Kent St….I wonder if this is an advantage for Georgia…who will now have basically two weeks to prepare for LSU.

LSU will have played a ranked TCU team and an improved Auburn team before facing us.

Ah..That’s correct. I had forgotten it was TCU..I was thinking another cupcake.

I just don’t get Mich – ND. As the great Grizzard once said, it’s like watching two mules fight over a turnip.
