Mark Richt has NOT lost control of the nepotism rule.

This really isn’t that big a story.  (Although I wonder if Michael Adams would have permitted it, were he still in charge.)  I just wanted an excuse to write the header.

  1. Well he is around anyway. Might as well put him to good use.

Plus, that word ‘volunteer’ was music to Greg McGarity’s ears.

  3. Works for me. I’m sure CMR is thrilled to have him around. It’s a great opportunity for the young man. Gives him direction and choices. That’s what Dad’s do! My sons worked for me every summer. My youngest worked one summer for my attorney. I paid his salary.(unknown to him). He was 16. Worked as a gopher and chased peoples addresses and locations. He even spent time in the court house running stuff down. He will graduate with the Georgia Law Class of 2017. Dual program. Law/MS in Sports Mgt and Policy.
Who knows? If Butch doesn’t work out, uT may come calling again hoping to catch lightning in a bottle. 😉

      • It was the summer he grew up and stepped out of his older brother’s shadow. There was a huge influence from the law office. He became concerned with how he carried himself and how he dressed. He was up early and we shared a cup of coffee and discussed some dog blogs before I headed out. Bernie’s was an early blog poster so we always talked about it. He even contributed to Bernies blog. H/T Bernie. (Thanks man). 😉 He wasn’t the kid that I kissed on the top of the head anymore when I left for work. After that summer, we shook hands to recognize achievements. Boys turning into young men… you can’t have it both ways. But I do miss that kid in him before he grew up. I imagine CMR is recapturing some moments. I envy him.

That isn’t right. It is a bad deal. And it will forever be in the mind of Todd Grantham…

In a TOTALLY unrelated story, Mark Richt gets a $125,000 raise and another pickup truck to drive.

I don’t think I will ever get tired of the mocking that meme.
