Rashad could be a perfect replacement for the bail bondsman void left by JHC’s not so sudden departure.

  3. I still get a little spooky about safeties named Rashad. Brings back horrible memories, and thoughts of bonehead players, even if the spelling is slightly different.

If we are lucky enough to be able to sign him, maybe he can be convinced to drop ‘Reshad’ and go by ‘Richard’ (like his father) so he can give those who deserve it the Shaft

        Who’s the cat,
        Who won’t cop out,
        When there’s danger all about?

        Shaff,

        Damn right.

They say that cat Shaff is a bad mother,
        Shut yo mouf,
        But I’m talkin bout Shaff.
        Then we can dig it.

      • Yeah, that’s true. And if he were the real deal with a good head on his shoulders, and came to Georgia, he could heal a lot of wounds just by staying with ‘Reshad’.

        • Update: Just watched the interview with Roundtree. Yeah, I want him, absolutely. And don’t care what he calls himself. Impressive young man. He is no ‘bonehead’, that’s for sure.

Watched a little film, and to me he looks like a SS. Not real good top end speed but fast enough for 30 or 40 yards to play and be very effective. Athletic enough. Seems to be instinctive enough and good in space, something we need to insist on at safety from now on.

Like his explosion and strike. Looks good. Since I ran my big mouth yesterday, I wanted to take a look and come clean.

Reshad Jones atoned nicely for the Roddy Jones brush pass. In the Okie State game the next year he absolutely decleated a receiver. Got a bogus flag for leading with the head but it was impressive.

That call, and the worst spot I have ever seen in CFB at the goalline giving OSU a first down on a 4th down play was the difference in winning and losing that game, imo. The spot was over a full yard off, close to two full yards. I can forgive the missed call on Jones as it happened at warp speed and you never know what the official’s angle was but the missed spot was blatant.

Has Jimmy Williamson’s eligibility expired yet? Maybe we can recruit Rashad’s daddy to come with him and take that job. Package deal!

It seems that Jimmy’s Sherlock Holmes skills are needed in Oxford Mississippi soon. I suggest that it is an opportunity too good to pass up, kind of like CTG’s at L Ville.
