Thanks, Bluto, for trying to make sure we don’t become the Auburn of the East.
Are you really concerned about that? Hard for me to fathom.
If we are, actually, re-recruiting Kamara, I’ll leave it to the coaching staff. They are the folks who get paid to deal with the quick judgements of the media.

Did I sound concerned? I thought I was mocking JW.
Sometimes it’s hard for me to fathom what you’re trying to fathom. π

“I thought I was mocking JW” Oh…glad you cleared that up, I guess I mis-fathomed. I thought you were commenting on the idea we might become the University of Second Chances. I promise to be more careful with my fathomizationary thinking. π

Not sure why we’d recruit Kamara. Aside from the suspension issue, I’m not a fan of pint-sized backs like Tyson Browning and Carlton Thomas. I feel like they’re a poor fit for our offense. Not that I don’t appreciate Tyson’s and Carlton’s contributions to the program, but they weren’t very effective compared to bigger RBs. I think we could fill a scholly with somebody more helpful than Kamara.
Even if we did want a smallish RB, we already had a good back of that size in JJ Green, and we shifted him to DB – I assume because he wasn’t needed on O.

Kamara is a 5 star RB. If he wants to come to UGA, offer him. It’s not like we don’t have extra scholarships–plus we should have several soon even if we didn’t before. Just keep him on a short leash and make sure he knows it upfront.

He must have been a 5 star pain in the ass if saban doesn’t want him. So I’d be skeptical of his talent and discipline. He wouldn’t even be coming in as a freshman or redshirt, though I agree we don’t use our schollys very effectively. Hell, it’s been about 6 weeks since signing day and it looks like we might have multiple open roster spots before the spring game. Same ole story – we shoulda signed as many as we could considering our attrition history.
