And he’s not even Kirby Smart’s agent. But he knows about rising tides lifting all boats.
If LSU is paying Cam Cameron $1.3 million a year, what do you think Miles could offer Smart?

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
Mel Tucker is a terrible DC who many in Chicago wanted fired a year ago! The SEC West would love having him on the other side of the field, lol.

No one will ever accuse Jimmy Sexton of leaving money on the table. In fact, he’ll set a new table just so you can give him yo monaaay.

That would be an interesting move from Kirby’s standpoint.

To answer your question, Miles could offer Smart 100 gozillion dollars.

If it happens he will probably be making more than at least a few SEC head coaches were making ten years ago. I can’t see him making the switch for less than $2M.

Last I heard, Saban didn’t have any time for this shit. In this case, “the shit” is Smart making a lateral move. If I recall correctly, he spoke quite clearly on that subject a few years ago when there were whispers about Georgia’s interest in his services.

Bear with me on this one. Last year, Smart would not leave to go to UGA in a lateral move. He knew Bobo would be job hunting in the next year or two, plus he didn’t want to come home unless it was for the head coaching job. Saban can’t be an easy guy to work for…right. Heck, Smart may just leave and go to LSU as a lateral move if the price is right…ok, on second thought…

Timing could be good for a lateral move. He’ll be able to coach equivalent if not better defensive talent at LSU. More importantly, it’ll give him an opportunity to step out from Saban’s shadow. For the time, it looks like that cloud of doubt will be hanging over him, and, consequently, I don’t think he’s going to get the head coaching job he wants until he shows otherwise.

I don’t see anyone beating down his door to be a HC. He has the best talent in the country to work with. He will never get a HC job under Saban. If he fields a nasty D at LSU then he will start getting offers. Its not like the cupboard is bare in the bayou.
