“Returning starter: None.”, ctd.

The roster for Georgia’s defensive ends reads like an episode of “Lather, Rinse and Repeat”:  no seniors, one junior and one-third of the group comprised of freshmen.

“The good news is Kirby Smart and the new staff has a lot of options. The bad news is they don’t have any proven ones.”  That’s putting it mildly.  Per Towers, the only returning player with a start at the position Georgia has is… Lorenzo Carter.

Watching the mix and match on the d-line at G-Day could prove to be as interesting as how well the quarterbacks throw.

Davin Bellamy? Yes we may not have returning starters BUT we have a few players like Bellamy who not only played a lot of snaps last season but played well. At ILB its thinner although Kimbrough returns.

So far, the AJC guys have listed David Marshall’s name as a possibility at OLB, DE, and DT. I don’t know if that means he’s actually a candidate for all of those positions or if it means they know about as much about it as I do. 🙂

Sheesh, didn’t anybody recruit before Pruitt came to town?

We had a lot of experience on the line last year, and a very good defense as well. It will take great coaching to duplicate that success this year.

  5. This is rather misleading however as we have people who played downs and we have talent……..Is Towers trying to whine for somebody?
