Just curious – how many of you are planning on joining the throngs attending Saturday’s G-Day game?
For what it’s worth, the weather that afternoon is basically perfect.

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
We usually tailgate, then walk over and sit or stand in student section for a half or so. Planning on the tailgate…..if they send us upstairs, we will head back and watch on tv. #oldfart

We’re planning to be there. I need a spreadsheet model that will calculate real-time QBR, so that I can live tweet the current state of the QB race during the game.

For the first time ever, we’re tailgating G-Day and my entire tailgate and game crew will be there. i’m usually the only one from my group that does G-Day, but this year we’ll all be there.

Not going. Kirby’s heart and intent is in the right place. But when he picked up the mic and asked for 93,000 at that basketball game, he didn’t factor in that McGarity can take any situation and make it worse. I haven’t seen any evidence McG has gone all out to make sure this effort works out. If there’s a clusterfuck, the blame will be dropped on Kirby’s shoulders, and all he was doing was trying to make the program better. Having said all that, I sincerely hope I’m wrong and it’s a huge success.

Yeah, I won’t be going to this one. I look forward to hearing from other people how things went logistically, especially when it comes to parking. I have a hard time imagining it not being kind of a disaster in some ways.

Thinking of bringing the fam- 5 of us. Does anyone have rec in when we need to be there, are they doing any player meet and greet? We haven’t been since I was a kid. I could use a little guidance. Thanks

Player meet and greet has usually been done on picture day in August but that may change.

The last one I saw was played at Clarke central high school. Odell Collins was the star attraction. I’m going this year because Kirby said I’m supposed to. Gotta do my small part. The last thing I want to see is a half full house on my tv, so I’m going.

I usually stroll over, but if it looks like a horribly managed cluster… I’ll probably turn right around and walk back home and catch it on the tube.

It’s 15 miles from my house 6 or 7 of us are going and bringing the kids. It’s a good reason to soak up some sun and hear some pads cracking. This is it til the regular season starts. As much as I hate all the bullshit that surrounds college football, god help me I absolutely love the game. At this point any football is good football.

Yep, our whole tailgate crew is going. Our usual tailgate/parking spot is in the P/J lot so I am assuming we will need to get there very early to even attempt it. But no worries, Bloody Mary’s at 7 am on a pretty spring morning? What’s not to like?

I’ll be there with my 2 year old. her first time in sanford. I expect to see maybe 30 minutes of action. Kind of wish it was just going to be another ho-hum day with easy parking and access.

I was looking forward to a doubleheader with baseball but our baseball team is painful to watch. The 4 and 6 start times aren’t ideal but I’m gonna’ give it a try.

Not going mainly due to the confusion of thousands who have never been there and not all lots open to parking. ACC police do not have a clue how to get traffic away from stadium after game, but maybe being a scrimmage folks will be coming and going at any point in game not after final play.
